The idea of flying has been in the minds of men from very early times. Why were they not content to stay on the ground where they lived? What made them want to imitate birds? There are always some men in the world trying to do things that have never been done before. の訳を教えてください。 飛ぶという考えが、大昔から男性の心の中にありました。なぜ、彼らが住んでいた地面の上にいるだけで満足していないのですか？何が、彼らを鳥の真似をしたくさせましたか。世の中の何人かの男性はいままでなされたことがないことをしようとする。

模試の英作文の問題で 「私は若者たちが路上でギターを弾いて歌を歌っているのをよく見かける。」 私は「I often see young people who play the guitar and sing a song on the streets.」と書いたのですが、 「who」のところが減点されていました。 「see　Ｏ　～ing」と書かなくてはいけないことの減点でしょうか？ それなら「play」と「sing」と加えて「who」が減点されるべきなのですが… 解答は「I often see young people singing songs and playing the guitar on the streets.」

現在高校三年生で、京都大学を目指しています。 クラブも終わり、今から真剣に勉強しようと考えています。 そこで、英語についてしつもんなんですが、 この夏の間に、ネクステを利用して、文法や語法の基礎を固めようかと思っています。この方法で何か改善したらいい方法などありましたらお願いします。 本題は、英文解釈の勉強をどのようにしていいかわからないという事です。お勧めの参考書とどのように勉強していくか教えてください。 よろしくお願いします。 だらだらと聞きましたがご協力お願いします。

Clearly children do have to understand and learn how to function effectively in adult society. They have to learn, for instance, how to buy and then how to be proficient and then sophisticated shoppers. But there is also an autonomous economic world of childhood, which while remote from the adult world is important in a variety of ways and presents children with challenges. Webley and Lea (1993) and Webley (1996) describe a number of studies of what they call 'the playground economy.' Under close examination this natural economy displays a surprising degree of sophistication. For example, when there is a marble 'craze' children between the ages of 8 and 12 years play marbles in the playground. But marbles are not only used to play games; they are also traded.
