皆さんは、上村愛子と言う人を知っていますか？おそらく多くの人が一度は耳にしたことがあると思います。
彼女は日本のモーグル選手で、今年開催されたバンクーバーオリンピックでは沢山の人に感動と勇気を与えました。
彼女はいつも明るく、笑顔が素敵な人です。どんなに辛くても、笑顔を絶やさないという所に魅力を感じる人も多いのではないでしょうか？
しかし、あの素敵な笑顔からは想像もできない試練があったのです。
彼女は生まれたときから重い病気をかかえていました。彼女に立ちはだかった最初の試練です。彼女の母親は病気に負けない元気な女の子に育って欲しいと思い、空気がきれいだと言われていた長野県に引っ越しました。そこで彼女はスキーに出会います。三歳からアルペンスキーを習い始め、母親の望み通り彼女は強くてたくましい女の子へと成長していきました。
中学生になり、部活でも本格的にアルペンスキーを始めようとしていた彼女に、二つ目の試練が立ちはだかります。地元での知名度が高かった彼女を面白く思わない同級生から、重度のいじめを受けます。彼女は不登校になり、彼女の魅力の一つである笑顔もなくなってしまいました。
そんな時、母親からの勧めでカナダへ旅行をしに行きます。そこでモーグルスキーブラッコム大会を観戦してロシアの選手の滑走に感銘を受けます。また、同大会で日本代表として出場していた里谷多英の滑走を観戦し、この経験で帰国がアルペンスキーからモーグルへ転向します。
高校生になった彼女は全日本選手権に参戦し３位入賞、1998年に行われた長野オリンピックでは7位入賞を果たし、世間に彼女の名をとどろかせました。ここから彼女のモーグル人生が始まったのです。２００２年のソルトレイクシティオリンピックでは６位入賞。２００６年トリノオリンピックでは5位入賞。メダルがあと少しで届きそうなところで届かないという試練が立ちはだかります。

She is the person that smiles are always wonderful brightly. No matter how will not there be many people feeling charm in the place to keep a smile even if hot?
