ちょっと区切り方が違うと思います。 The winter as we know it 私たちが知っているような冬は most likely will disappear 無くなってしまう可能性がとても高い。 Coffee as we know it 私達が知っているようなコーヒーは most likely was discovered in Ethiopia エチオピアで発見されたものである可能性が最も高い。 イディオムとしておぼえるなら、as we know it ～ as we know it now（私たちが今知っているような～）とか、～ as we know it today（私たちが今日知っているような～）の言い方も一緒に頭にいれましょう。

- この超難しい短文訳せないです
辞書からの引用です Tom was most likely in there, or somewhere about. これbe likely inでイディオムですか? be likely thereにしてしまいます。 in thereというのが奇妙です。 あと、somewhere aboutのaboutの目的語がないのですが これも奇妙だなあと。 訳にすればこれでしょうか Tomはたぶんそこでしょう、あるいはどこかの場所。

（並べかえ問題です） 今年の冬、京都はロンドンほど寒くない。 （in/in/London/Kyoto/winter/is/as/as/it/cold/not/this） あってますか？ This winter,it is not as cold in Kyoto as in London. itを使うと、in Kyoto の入れるところが間違っているような？でもどこに入れたらいいか？ なんかすっきりしません。文の構造もおしえてください。

(2)If global warming continues at the current pace, life as we know it will end. わからないのは life as we ・・・ の「as」です。どうもこの「as」は擬似関係代名詞と呼ばれるものらしいですが、the same・・・やsuch・・・を先行詞とする「as」とはまた別の何かですか?あとas we know itの it がつく理由もわかりません。 いろいろ調べてきましたが、よくわかりませんでしたので質問させていただきました。解説よろしくお願いします。
