発音を教えてください
次はEconomistの一文です。この中で、"month's"の発音に自信がありません。 "ths"なのか、"thizu"なのかそれともそれ以外なのか教えてください。 The previous month's figures, where they are different, are shown in brackets. This month we include, for the first time, forecasts for 2006.

[θs] となります。 -s が [iz] となるのは、[s, z, シュ,ジュ] の後だけです。 ただし、[θ] の音は舌先を歯の裏側に軽く当ててこするようにして出す音です。日本語のタ行を発音してみると分かるとおり、全く同じ位置です。 したがって、この場合には [ts] のように聞こえますし、実際そう発音されるのが普通です。つまり、month's は「マンツ」になります。

thizu でないことは確かだが、かといって正確にths でもなさそうです。ゆっくりと発音するときは区別もするしできるだろうけど。文章の中ではmonthz(thをtsuのように）になると思います。ほかにもcards vs cars, with vs width などが思い浮かびます。日本語でも無意識にやっているはずです。金曜、土曜をきんどお、原因をげいいん、言うをゆう、聞こえたとおりに（ゆう）のがベストだと思います。

複数の s も，三単現の s もアポストロフィエスも，発音は基本的には同じ規則に従います。 months という複数形と同じで， -ths または，-ts になると思います。 （この th は「ズ」ではなく，「ス」の方です）

辞書を使ってもうまく訳せません。 訳を教えてほしいです。 「The word for "something" is 何か, and the word for "anything" in negative sentences is 何も. These two words are used in places where the particles は, が,and を are expected. In these contexts,they are used own,without the help of particles. We will learn in Lesson 10 what to do in cases where other than are expected.」 日本語の「何か食べる」「何も食べない」というときの「何か、何も」の説明文です。 particlesが助詞と言う意味だということは調べて何とか分かりましたが上手く文章にできません。 宜しくお願いします！

- 「普通」の訳し方
「普通」という日本語は主に「普通だ」とか「普通の」というように使われ、英語では commonとかordinaryと訳されますよね。しかし、次のような文ではどう訳したらいいものか頭を傾げます。 “男の子と違う 女の子って。 好きと嫌いだけで普通はないの。 でも好きになったら いくつかの魔法を見せるわ 本当よ。” Girls are different from boys. For they have only like and dislike, but not (???) . But When they have got to like, they will show you some magics, it's true. そこで (???)に入るのは明らかに commonとかordinaryではありませんよね。訳文自体も For theyの部分で theyだとboysを指す可能性も考えられますし、それにそもそも主語が3人称というよりは1人称だと思います。どなたか、添削お願いします。
