＞Either he or his wife has not arrived yet. ＞みたいにEither A or Bが主語で否定文をつくることは可能ですか？ ⇒はい、可能です！ まったく問題はないと思います。 ただし、Neither he nor his wife has arrived yet. の方がより自然な言い方かも知れませんが。

There was once a time, and not so long ago either, when everybody couldn't express his own opinion. and not so long ago either, は挿入で、「かつてと言ってもそれほど昔ではないが」と訳されていましたが、 not ～ either の使い方がよくわかりません。「もまた～ない」という意味だと思いますが、何と何のことを否定しているのですか。

下記英文の文法的な文の構造を解説いただけますでしょうか? But as I see it now, either we will have to make the sessions longer or you will have to cover less material. 前の文を掲載していないので意味が分かりにくいかもしれませんが、アンケートにワークショップの時間が短過ぎたという意見が多かったので(But as I see it now)、I = Coordinator としては、ワークショップの時間を長くするか、教材(Material)を少なくするか、対応しなければならない、という部分です。 But as I see it now, either we will have to make the sessions longer or you will have to cover less material. either A or B は分かりますが、Either SVOC or S'V'O'. という文?はアリなんですか? not so much A as B で「AというよりむしろB」という意味ですよね？ ところで、 A man's worth lies not so much in what he has as in what he is. (人間の価値は財産よりむしろ人柄にある) という文の in の位置がなぜそこなのか、僕にはよく分かりません。 なぜ、A man's worth lies in not so much what he has as what he is. という文ではダメなんですか？

論文を書いていて困ってます。 The author does not know whether or not ＋「長い文」. の形の文章は The author does not know whether or not 文Ａ and whether or not 文Ｂ． などのように分割したほうが良いのでしょうか？ 例 筆者は彼が金持ちなのか、飛行機を持っているのか知らない。 The authour does not know whether or not he is rich and has an airplane. 修正例 The authour does not know whether or not he is rich and whether or not he has an airplane. そもそも例として挙げた文章は英訳が間違ってるんでしょうか？ 論文として書いているので、できるだけ細かいことまで教えていただけるとありがたいです。修正例の、「and」の前にはコンマを入れた方がよいのでしょうか？ なお、僕は理系です。また、実際の「長い文」には例よりもずっと長い学術的文章が入ります。

Either A or B will help you. と A or B will help you.はどう違うのでしょうか？ 言い換えればEitherがあるのと無いのではどうちがうのでしょうか？
