Hello. How are you? 「～するとすぐに」をよく「as soon as...」や「the moment...」で表しますね。 違いはあるのでしょうか？ 例文を作りました。 The moment he finished his homework, he started watching TV. As soon as he finished his homework, he started watching TV. the moment の場合だと、「宿題を終えた瞬間にテレビを見始めた」のような感じがします。「時を移さず」のイメージがありますね？ 一方、as soon as は、the moment ほど「すぐ」のイメージがないように感じます。 the instant は？ 「～するとすぐに」を表す言い方が他にありますか。 どうでしょうか？

英作文練習の問題で、「トムが窓を割ってしまいました。」を Tom has broken the window. となっていました。日本語の「しまった」イコール現在完了形とはならないように思いますが、いかがでしょうか。例えば、「宿題をやってしまった。」はfinished my homework 「昼食をもう食べてしまった。」はate lunch already[彼の名前を忘れてしまった。」はforgot his nameでいいのではないかと思いますが、いかがでしょうか。 そこでお尋ねしたいのは、まず、「トムが窓を割ってしまいました。」の英訳はどうのようにするのがいいのでしょうか。そもそも、現在完了にしたほうがいいのは、どういうときなのでしょうか。教えてください。
