こんばんは、 「仮定法現在」です。 unlessがifの代わりに条件節で使われています。

are でも正しいです。 be の使い方ですが、専門的な政府関係や古い言い方によく使われます。

いつもお世話になっております。 Jonh.F.Kennedy was the first Catholic ( ) elected President of the United States. に入るものは何か？ 1 to be 2 who 3 he was 4 having been とあり、1にして形容詞的用法のtoと考えて正解でした。 でも復習している際に、ふと思いました。 これ、whoだとどうしていけないのだろうか？ the first Catholic who elected President. としたとき、どうして文法的にNGなのか考えて恥ずかしながら忘却してしまい、ヒヤッとしています。 なぜ、whoだとこの場合いけないのでしょうか。 ご指導よろしくお願い申し上げます。
