First, human intelligence is multiple. There are a variety of intelligence exist in the human world. For example, someone has linguistic intelligence and the other people have mathematical intelligence. Second, all human intelligence are not related each other. As I mentioned, a linguistic intelligence and a mathematical intelligence is totally different type of intelligence. So, it can’t evaluate people by just simple test such as IQ test. In addition, the balance of intelligence is not the same. I agree with your idea that Individualistic cultures tend to focus on the "I", whereas collectivistic cultures tend to focus on "we". I also glad to know that Coming to the school was the best choice you made so far in your life. You came from collectivistic place, but you are studying in the United States that is individualistic country. Fortunately, you can get to see both individualism and collectivism. He also came from collectivistic county, but he also sees individualistic country in the USA. he really happy to see the both aspect of which.

お世話になります。私は独学で英語を勉強しているものです。 仮定法の文を2つ書いたので，チェックをお願いします。 問題１．単純に英作文チェックをお願いいたします。 学校が駅からもっと近ければなあ。 I wish our school were nearer from the station. 問題２．大文字で示したところが不安です。チェックをお願いします（過去の話の仮定法だから「もっと過去」にするのか？）。 最終バスに間に合っていたら，家まで歩かずにすんでいただろう。 If I had caught the last bus, I DIDN'T have to walk home. よろしくお願いいたします。

7up さん、ありがとうございます～！誰からも回答をもらえずちょっとさみしい気持ちになっていたところでした ：） 「日本人の感覚だったら恥ずかしいと思うのに」っていう気持ちが含まれているので、確かに「embarrassed」の方が合っている気がします。スペルミスの訂正に「自信あり」。お茶目さんですね～ 「trees on the main streets」も、無駄なものをそぎ落とした感じで断然すっきりしますね！こういう時に、「a tree on the main street」とするとおかしいですか？おかしいとしたら、街路樹は普通何本も植えられているものだから、という解釈でいいんでしょうか？ また質問しちゃいました。ごめんなさい～
