目的格の関係詞の正しい使い方とは？
- The camera which Mary ordered from Japan arrived today. メアリーが日本に注文したカメラが今日到着した。
- The camera which Mary ordered arrived from Japan today. メアリーが注文したカメラが、今日、日本から到着した。
- 目的格の関係詞の正しい使い方には、どちらの文も間違いはありませんが、前者の文の方が自然な表現です。

ピリオド＞コロン＞セミコロン＞カンマ と理解しています。 以下のように、コロンとセミコロンで隔てられた名詞句（でいいのかな？）の中に、カンマが含まれているのは問題ないと思うのですが、 -I read three books about Japan: Japan Today, which I bought yesterday; Modern Japan, which you gave me last week; and The Future of Japan. (http://someya1.hp.infoseek.co.jp/G-punctuation.html より拝借) 例えば、 「昨日買ったJapan Todayと、先週君がくれたModern Japanと、The Future of Japanの、日本について書かれた本３冊を読んで、全部の感想文を書いたんだ」 (上記英文を勝手に和訳して勝手に付け足しました。) という和文を英訳する場合、 -I read three books about Japan: Japan Today, which I bought yesterday; Modern Japan, which you gave me last week; and The Future of Japan, and I wrote book reports on all of them. などと、カンマで続けてもいいものなのでしょうか。 ちょっとおかしい気がするのですが、 かと言って、明確性を保持したまま一文におさめる案が浮かびません。 元の英文と、"I wrote book reports…" の二文に分けるしかないのでしょうか。

中学の関係代名詞のところなのですが。 「これは今日来た唯一通の手紙です」 を This is the (only) letter (that) (arrived) today. としたのですが。解答では This is the (only) letter (that) (came) today. となっていました。 arrived ではダメでしょうか。お願いします。

(1) The video ( which { that} was ) sent from Mary was interesting. という文がありました。 特に「人」から 送られてきた場合には、 by の方がいいのでは？と思うし、実際例文も fromなら場所や、組織 byなら人が多いように 思ったのですが、どうなのでしょうか？ ご意見を下さい。 宜しくお願いいたします。

ある入試問題で Mary is a good singer, but today she ( ) badly. １ sings ２ is singing ３ sang ４ was singing とあり正解が２でした。 解説には is は恒常的で 「今日だけ」という限定の意味となるので２ということでした。 限定の意味で「メアリーはいつもはすばらしい歌手だが、今日は酷く歌った。」や 「ひどく歌っていた。」とその当日との対比ではおかしいでしょうか？
