What does the speaker say is one of the characteristics of the menu? What does the speaker say What does the speaker say が文頭に来て、is …

I went out with them into the street by the lure of what I knew intuitively was normal childhood. この英文の、「by the lure of what I knew intuitively was normal childhood」の構造がわかりません。

1、They say that the most important part of the Englishman's character is perhaps his sense of huor. 2、What they mean by that it is very difficult to explain to anyone who is not English. What they mean by that のthey とthatのさしているものはなんですか?

The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth—how rarely the older literatures ever told it! Bits of the truth, yes; every good book gives us bits of the truth, would not be a good book if it did not. But the whole truth, no. Of the great writers of the past incredibly few have given us that. Homer—the Homer of the Odyssey—is one of those few. Of the great writers of the past incredibly few have given us that. Few of the great writers of the past incredibly have given us that.ですか? thatはthe whole truthですか? Bits of the truth, yes;とBut the whole truth, no.が対比されている感じですが、 少し真実が書かれてある本はあるが、全部が真実である本はない、という意味ですか? yesとnoの意味するところがよくわかりません。 ----------------Tragedy and the Whole Truth: Aldous Huxley

The new system addresses that by asking email senders and the companies that provide email services to share information about the email message they send and receive. これはThe new system / addresses /that~で区切ってSVOの文かと思っているのですが、 that以下の一番後ろの、they send and receive.はすぐ前のthe email message にかかって、 that provide email ~は前のby asking email senders and the companiesにかかってるのかと 思ったのですが、あっていますか? また、上記の構造であれば、SVthat(that節を作らない、代名詞としてのthat)になるかと思いますが、 そんな構造あるんでしょうか?

It's law they ask of me and not grace.
The Law and the Graceというタイトルの詩の一節で、文構造が良く分からない文がありましので、教えてください。 ~~上記本の上記詩の一部引用~~~~~~~~~~ It's law they ask of me and not grace. 'Conform,' they say, 'your works are not enough. Be what we say you should be' even if graceful hypocrisy obscures my face. It's law they ask of me and not grace.は、 It's law and not grace they ask of me. It's law they ask of me and (it's) not grace (they asked of me). これを、it'sをxとして、数学的にax+bx=x(a+b)と考え、 It's (law they ask of me )+ (it's) (not grace (they asked of) me). =It's (law they ask of me and not grace (they asked of me)). It's law they ask of me and not grace. It's law and not grace they ask of me.
