訳はてっきり、「フットボールの試合で＜トムに＞賭けた」だと思いましたが、違うようです。辞書によると「私は＜トムと＞フットボールの試合で賭けをした」になるらしいのですね。びっくり。 で、話は変わるんですけど、I made mom a cake. は「母親のために」じゃないですか。I made a cake for mom. に書き換えが可能じゃないですか。 質問１ ってことはI bet Tom on a football game. も前置詞か何かを補えば書き換え可能？ 質問２ ＜主語＋動詞＋人＞の形になった時に、「人と」の意味になる動詞は、bet だけですか。bet 以外にもありますか。

「I bet you didn't think I'd actually do it, but I sured showed you」という文のI sure showed youの部分はどんな日本語が当てはまりますか？何となくニュアンスは分かるのですが、適切な日本語が出てきません。どなたか教えてください。

それなりに調べてみたのですが、意外に例文を見つけることができず、自信がないので、質問します。 atとon、inの使い方については至る所で解説されていますが、何月何日何時何分がどう表されるのかがよく分かりません。 思いつく例文を下に書いてみます。 I will meet you on 12/24 at 15:30. I will meet you at 15:30 on 12/24.
