not the least of which beingの意味と文法的解説をよろしく 意味 その最小にならないこととは ＞ 中でも 文法的解説 もともとは上記のような後置された関係節です、今では「いろいろあるがその中でも最小でない（＝めぼしい）のは」といた意味の決まり文句です。 そうです、だから今はいろいろ聞きたいことがあるが、中でも本物の医者でもない私に、なぜ話しているのかってことです。

https://oshiete.goo.ne.jp/qa/9109463.html こちらの英文と似ています。 このタイプの関係代名詞は some/all of which/whom と同じで、 必ずコンマつきの継続用法で用います。 ここは questions という先行詞に対して、 そのうちの、と ... of which になっていますが、 and ... of them のように them で考えるのがわかりやすいです。 not least は二重否定で強めの肯定。 そのうちのきわめて重要なものは～ そして、関係代名詞 which を使うということは文法的には is のような形がふさわしく、分詞構文 being はおかしいです。 接続詞の代わりが分詞構文で、関係代名詞は接続詞の代わりに節を続けるもの ということを考えても、関係代名詞のあとが分詞構文というのは文法的にはおかしいのです。 無理やり日本語で当てはめると「ら抜き言葉」とか、 文法にうるさい人からすると間違った英語です。

What more can I ask of myself. 以前、訳のお願いをしたのですが、納得できないところがあって、解説をお願いします。上の文では、Why we allow ourselves to love を 我々は どうして愛し合えるのだろうか と訳していたんですが、愛し合えるがよくわかりません。allow の訳し方なのでしょうか。次の文では、 自分にもっと求めるどんなことがあるのだろうか。 と訳していたんですがmoreの位置がここになるのがよくわかりません。また、ask of につてなんですが、of 働きが納得いきません。～にもとめる は ask of なんですか。解説をしてやろうという方がいらっしゃいましたら、お願いします。
