英文の意味が分かりません。
Ellen takes it nice and slow, time to watch the flowers glow. 描写としては、女の子が草などが生い茂っているところを歩いています。 ここの「take it」はどのような意味になるのでしょうか？take it で歩くの意味はありますか？ あとコンマのあとは「it is」が省略さされているのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします。

我々には glow も grow も似た語に見えてしまいますね ・・・ でも、意味の方は grow として取ってはいたんですが ・・・ #2 の回答者の方の回答を見て、なるほどと思うところがありました。たしかに音がうまい具合にリズムに乗ってますね。あるいは子供向けの本なんかで、声を出して読むのにふさわしいような文にしてあるのか ・・・ #1 に私が示した訳では take it を過去形で訳したのですが、Ellen takes it ... だから現在形ですね。それなら、ちょっと訂正しておこうかな。 「花が開くのが見られるまでにはまだ時間がかかるなぁ、とエレンは思う」 前半と後半が重なり合っているようにも見えます。前半で使った take を後半では省略して、 (it takes) time to ... という形にしたのかも。 #2 の方が書いておられるように普通の散文ではないとしたら、読み方も散文を読むのとは違った読み方をする必要があるかもしれません。もう少し前後関係が分かる情報があれば、また違う解釈だって成り立つ可能性もあるかもしれませんけれど。

この文、slow と glowで韻を踏んでいるようで、詩か歌詞の一部ではないですか？だとすると、リズムを作るために文法をあえて崩していると思います。 まず time to watch the flowers glow で、「お花が育つのを見のにちょうど良い時期だ」で、エレンはit=time 時を、素敵にゆっくりtakes 取る＝堪能 する。 みたいな感じではないでしょうか。

Up it went and out into space. 上段2番目の文で、なぜ、it went upではなく、Up it went とするのかが、よくわかりません。 また、別の場面で、今度は主人公たちがプールで試験をするシーンで、 先生が、子供たちに泳ぎ始めるように促す場面で、 Off you go. と言っているのですが、この場合もなぜ、offが前に出ているのでしょうか？ どなたか、教えては下さいませんでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いいたします。
