and stay aware of others on the street who may be playing close attention to your online activity. 二つほど 1。playing は paying ではないでしょうか。 2。５９秒の差で＃２になったことで、違う読みには気づきませんでしたが、ニューヨークなどでは道端のカフェでラップトップのコンピュータを使う人がたくさんいます。 その中には画面に夢中になっている本にだけでなく、個人情報を盗み見している人もいる、ということだと思います。質問者さんの読みは正しいと思います。

あらゆる個人情報保護の注意が払われいるとしても、LinkNYC kiosks は世界の他の公のネットワークと同じように（注意して）扱うのがいい。 あなたの資産情報を保管してあげますというようなサイトにはログインしてはいけない、インターネットの記入欄にクレジットカードの番号を書き入れてはいけない、街であなたがオンラインでやってることをジッと見ているような人物がいたら気をつけることだ。 （まあこんな意味だと思います）

stay aware of others以下がだいぶ違うと思います。 who may be playing close attention to というのは「密着するかもしれない人間」です。何にかというとyour online activity つまりネット上の行動、に対し、です。 それにstay aware of しろ、つまり気をつけろ、といっているわけです。 端末操作をしているときにそばにいる人間ではなく、ネットワークトラフィックを見ている人間に気を付けろです。 これは、たとえばskypeで会話をしているとき、とかテレビ会議をしているとき、に当たります。 チャットでも同じことで、要するにそんな会話の中でうっかりクレジット番号なんかを漏らすんじゃないということです。
