Is the following sentence in the Bible perfectly grammatical?

"The gospel keeps bringing blessings and is spreading throughout the world, just as it has among you ever since the day you first heard about the grace of God and came to know it as it really is." (Colossians 1.6, Good News Bible)

What does the first "it" refer to? Does the following "has" take an object? Or any past participle of verb?

just as ～「ちょうど～と同じように」と前後で対比がされています。

The gospel keeps ～ and is spreading ～
という主述部分について
just as it has ですので、
主語は同じと考えて問題なく、it ＝ the gospel のことです。

そして、has の後は object がくるのでなく、past participle of verb が来ます。

Have human beings thought of flying like a bird?
Many have.
こういう英語であれば have は have thought of ～のことだとわかると思います。

代動詞と言って、do, does, is, are などや、助動詞一語で前の動詞部分を表すのはおわかりだと思います。

現在完了であれば have 一語で前の動詞部分を表します。

そして、普通は前に同じような現在完了表現があって、have で受けるのですが、
今回のように、前の動詞部分は現在形（現在進行形）が用いられていて、
as 以下は、動詞としての内容は同じでも、時制は ever since ～によって、
現在完了に修正すべく、have 一語で表しています。

代動詞的な have で前の動詞の内容を引き継ぎつつ、時制は現在完了に修正するのです。

だから、「～以来、（それが）そうしてきた（そうであった）のとちょうど同じように、今、ゴスペルは～」
と言っています。

ただ、主語は共通でも、among you でそうであったように、
throughout the world で、と言っています。

　　　　前半の動詞二つ（keeps bringing と is spreading）　をさし、as it has kept bringing と　as it has been spreading　というくりかえしを略したものと思います。

３。　Or any past participle of verb?

　　　　おっしゃる通り過去分詞（など）が省略されているともとれます。
