This picture reminds me of the good old days. The bad weather made us cancel the game. A helmet keeps you from hurting your head. こんな感じの短い文なら理解できるのですが The sash over its shoulder may remind you of ancient India. Western influence led the Chinese to look at art in a new way. このような長くて複雑な文だとなんと書いてあるかわかりません どなたかこのような長い無生物主語の英文での訳し方を教えてくれませんでしょうか? 解説もできればお願いします

enable, allow, keep など、無生物主語とこれらの動詞との相性があれば教えてください。自分は使い分けができません。好き勝手に以下の様に文を作ってしまっています。 (1)The medicine enables me to get better soon. (2)The medicine allows me to get a better sleep. (3)The medicine kept me sleeping for a while. (4)My pride enebles me to overcome my hardship. (5)My pride didn't allow me to compromise the deal. (6)My pride keeps me doing my best on everything. この無生物主語にはこの系統の動詞が合う、相性がいい などはあったりしますか？あれば教えてください。そんなこと考えなくてもいいのでしょうか？＿ 宜しお願いします。
