1. There are so many dangerous roads which really do need a cycle lane, but don’t (have a cycle lane). の括弧内を略した表現です。 実際に自転車用車線を必要とする危険な道路がたくさんありますが、（自転車専用の車線が）ない危険な道路がたくさんあるんです。 ２。 引用がまだ続いていると言うことを読者が忘れないように、要所要所に初めの引用符だけを入れている例です。
