The rate I got at that currency exchange shop didn't seem very good. 上記の文ですが、 主語が the rate を got したのですが、 これは exchange rate の情報をもらったということ？ それとも「そのサービス」を got した ということ？ なのでしょうか？ rate を使った 表現はいろいろあって give special rates ← special rates を 与える→割引（お得な）価格を提示される。 pay the rates ⇒ the rates は 支払われるモノ だったり あるのですが、 実際のサービスを指すものにHITしませんでした。 すみません、宜しくお願いいたします。

The rate I got at the airport は実際に現金交換した感じが強いのですが、必ずしもそうとは限りません。get は言いやすいし意味が分かりやすいので、現金交換したかどうかが関係ない内容で使う場合も多いのですね。例えば While the rates are better than what you get at the airport or hotel, it's cheaper to withdraw cash from a foreign ATM or use a credit card since with those, you'll get current market exchange rates. という場合は一般論を述べていますので、get は実際に現金交換したとは言えません。 used, paid なども（get と比べると頻度は低いでしょうが）意味は通じます：the rate used/paid at the airport is... 実際に現金交換していないことをしっかり伝えるには quote を用いますが、quote を省いても意味は通じます。The rate (quoted) at the airport is too high.

「得た rate」というのは，交換比率を（情報として）聞いた，与えられた ということでしょうね。 あまりよくなさそうなので，どうしようかな，ということで 結果として，そのショップで交換したかはこれではわかりません。

現地旅行会社（日本人経営）に現地手配を依頼し、クレジットカードで決済を行いましたが、A$建の請求にもかかわらず、円建で決済されていました。 支払方法の連絡時には特に説明もなく、カード明細を連絡後にも、A$建の金額で決済した旨のメールがきていたので、そのままA$建で決済されるものと思っていたら、カード会社からの請求が円建てだったため、驚きました。 後日,領収書として受領したTAX INVOICEに添付された計算書(CUSTOMER COPY)に換算レートと円貨が記載されており、下記の文言がついていました。 I HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO PAY IN LOCAL CURRENCY AND UNDERSTAND MY CHOICE IS FINAL. I ACKNOWLEDGE THE SERVICE IS NOT PROVIDED BY VISA AND THAT IT CONTAINS AT MOST A 2.5%EXCHANGE RATE COMMISSION. 説明もなく、普通にA$建で決済されるより悪いレートになっている為、腑に落ちません。 こういうことはよくあることなのでしょうか？
