英語の文法的な構造が分かりません。
内容は理解できるのですが、文法的な構造が分かりません。 最初のThe categories and typesを受ける動詞がどれなのか教えていただけると助かります。 The categories and types that we isolate from the world of phenomena we do not find there because they stare every observer in the face; on the contrary, the world is presented in a kaleidoscopic flux of impressions which has to be organized by our mindsーand this means largely by the linguistic systems in our minds.

that があるんだから，that は関係代名詞だから， isolate の部分は倒置じゃないです。 関係詞による修飾を一種の倒置というのなら別ですが。 倒置は find とその目的語としての The categories and types that we isolate from the world of phenomena とにかく，that は関係代名詞。

that we isolate from the world of phenomena とありますので、書き換えると We isolate the categories and types from the world of phenomena ... つまり isolate という動詞の目的語が倒置文となって文頭に来ているのだと私は見ました。 「我々が分類したり型に分けたりして現象世界から分離させたものをそこに見出すことはない。なぜならそれらは観察者に対して直に面しているからだ。逆に、世界は印象の万華鏡的な変貌として現れる。それらは我々の心の内で組織化されるのであり、そしてこれは大部分が我々の心の中の言語システムによるものであるということを意味している」 みたいな文であると取りました （むつかしい文なので直訳的な訳ですけれども）。

回答ありがとうございます。 isolateを文全体の動詞として取ると、wind-sky-windさんのおっしゃるようにthatの説明が難しいのではないではないでしょうか。 私も英語は専門ではないので、そういった形があるかないかまでは分からないのですが。

必ずしも主語が文頭にあるとは限らないような....

回答ありがとうございます。 そうですよね。ただ最後まで見てみると最初の名詞だけどうしても浮いてしまう気がするのですが。 こういった文もありということでしょうか。それとも主語以外の文の要素になっているのを見落としているだけなんでしょうか。

回答ありがとうございます。 なるほどです。てっきり、we do not findはthe world of phenomena にかかるものとばかり思っていました。 つまりこの文全体の主語はweで、do not findが動詞、the categories and typesが目的語になるということですね。 勉強になります。改めてありがとうございました。
