基本的すぎて馬鹿らしい質問かもしれませんが本気です(^_^;) いつもisのつけるタイミングが分らないんです・・・ he ～でいいところに、he is ～と余計な事をしてしまうんです。 例：He works at a big insurance company. （彼は大手の保険会社に勤めています。） にHe 「is」used to work at a big insurance company. としてしまいます。 なにか定義があるのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします！

保険会社のAIUって、アメリカン・インシュランス・何とか～の略だと勝手に思ってたんですが、よく見たら、AIU INSURANCE COMPANY だったので、AIUってなに？？？と気になってしかたありません。 由来をご存知の方、教えてください。

海外オークションにて、アメリカ在住の人と取引しました。 送料４．５ポンドぐらいものを保険つきで送ってくれと依頼しましたら 送料として６０ドルの請求がきました。 入金をすませ、品物も届きましたが、ラベルには送料＄３６と書かれ、 別に「インシュアランス」ラベルが貼られてました。 ？？？と思って送り主にといあわせたところ 下記のごとくです。 保険ってそんなに高いものなんですか？ ご存知の方教えてください。 since it was out of the country the insurance was seprate from the shipping. The reason I didnt send tracking numbers(when you emailed me a few days ago) was because they have to send it seperate when it goes out of the country. That is the way the ups is in my town does it.
