Most/Most ofの使い方について Most... は、一般的なことについて言うと思います。 Most counties are... これは正しいですね。 Most of countries are... とは言いませんね。 さて Most European nations? と言えるでしょうか？ Europeanがついた時点で、一般的な事柄じゃないと思います。 Most of European nations... Most of the European nations... いずれも正しいと思うのですが、いかがでしょうか？

the や所有格で限定されるのと，形容詞によって修飾されるのではレベルが違います。 most of them most of the/my ～ のように使うべきです。 most young people most of the young people とすべきで， most of young people はだめです。 最近，どこかの入試問題の赤本で most of Japanese people というのを見ましたが， やはり most Japanese people とすべきです。 今回も most of European nations はよくありません。

この形のofの後は「特定された名詞、又は代名詞の目的格」でなければなりません。 European nationsとなった時点で一般的ではありませんが、「複数の国が存在する欧州諸国」としてはまだ「不特定の欧州諸国」ですので、theを付けて「特定の欧州諸国」にする必要があります。

ofなしのmosｔは形容詞です。most nationsとEuropean nationsのどちらも含意する場合、most Euroepan nationsといっても何の問題もないと思います。 most countriesとmost of the countriesは意味が違いますので、どちらかを選ぶ必要があります。most of countriesはおっしゃるとおり、状況としてありえないので言いません。
