Yellowstone's Super Heated Magma Chamber: A Potential Volcanic Hazard

  • Beneath Yellowstone lies a super heated rock called a magma chamber, which is caused by pressure deep within the earth.
  • When the volcano erupts, it can release ash and other materials that can rise up to 40 kilometers into the air.
  • Scientist Bob Christiansen compares the release of the magma to opening a shaken Coke bottle, causing an explosive event.

The last wild wolf in Yellowstone was killed in 1926. Nearly 70 years later , 14 wolves from Canada were caught and brought to live in the park . Since then, the number of wolves living in Yellowstone has risen to about 300. Ready to Blow? Where does all Yellowstone's heat come from ? The national park sits on top of one of the largest and most dangerous volcanoes of Earth. Yellowstone's largest eruption 640,000 years ago was a thousand times stronger than the 1980 eruption  of Mt. St . Helena's. Winds carried ash across mush of the western United States, and the Earth's climate became darker and cooler. Scientist believe that Yellowstone's "super volcano" will erupt again, but it could be 100,000 years in the future.

Contractility increases because the failing heart cannot eject all the blood presented to it at a normal venous pressure. This causes an increased diastolic volume and compensatory rise in contractility. Increased pre‐load and sympathetic drive also increase contractility.

和訳をお願いします 長くなってすみません(>_<) Although the population growth rate is expected to slow down, an increasing population still creates problems. First of all, with more people in the world, more food must be grown to feed them, though the amount of land we can use for agriculture is limited. According to the FAO, grain consumption has increased by 200 percent since 1961, but the amount of farmland remains almost unchanged. Second,a growing population is harmful to the environment. With more people and increased human activities, it is natural for the amount of CO2 in the air to increase. This speeds up global warming. Scientists expect that temperatures will rise by 0.4℃ in the next 20 years. An increasing pollution brings problems not only to developing nations, but also to the whole world. If we continue on our current path, the earth's resources may disappear before we know it.

If you've got into the way of thinking that poetry is stupid stuff, or useless, or beneath your dignity, thhen you certainly won't get much not of learning it by heart. But remember that it is a good thing to train your memory, and learning a poem is at least a much pleasanter way of training it than learning , say, twenty lines out of the telephone directory. What is more important, to learn poetry is to learn a repect for words;and without this respect for words, you will never be able to think clearly or express yourself properly.

Among topics we discussed over lunch was the bad habit film directors then had of changing the story of a novel to suit themselves, to the extent of changing a sad ending into a happy one. Central to this approach is the willingness of the scientists to give up a theory if evidence is produced against it.

It will have a lot of woodwork. And you will first see it when it is empty, or vacant with a lonely bare or neglected look that wants you to love it. It will be a good house, that will seem to draw you both. There will be something about reminiscent of a past life together, a former era. But only vaguely so, as if it stirs some subconscious memory deep within you. There will be a tree close to the house. High walls and it is a little secluded. It will seem familiar to you, for all it is not so.. You and your soul mate will help each other struggle to achieve goals in and rise in this house; which is practical and serious It will seem to you that your soul mate is Career orientated and hard working.

If the winding is suddenly short-circuited, after the steady-state current I has been established, the subsequent value of the current is found by substituting E=0 in Eq.2.27, and making i=I when t=0, whence: (2.34) i=I*exp(-RT/L) . That is, the current is maintained at a gradually decreasing value by the energy stored in the magnetic field until that energy is exhausted. If the circuit is opened before the flux has died away, the voltage across the terminals will rise to a high value, maintaining the current across the opening until the arc energy and resistance losses have dissipated the magnetic energy. For this reason, it is dangerous to interrupt the current of any inductive winding, without safety provisions such as discharge resistors or remote operation.
