先の回答者様がおっしゃっているように、この場合のsoは強調ですね。 また、whatは、先行詞を含む関係代名詞（the thing which と 書き変えられる）です。ですから、この文を直訳すると、 「これは、私がいま全然必要としていなかったものだ」となります。 既に何か問題があって、そこにさらに別の問題が加わったような状況 のとき、よく使う表現です。「ただでさえ大変なのに、なんで...」 という愚痴のようなニュアンスです。 全体を意訳していくと、次のような感じになりますね。 レイチェル：いい加減にしてよ、私たちは、大きなパーティをやるん だから、誰が誰と一緒にいるかなんて、誰にも分からないわよ。 ロス：ちょっと待ってくれよ、これはいま、僕がぜんっぜん必要として いないことだよ。 モニカ：何が問題なの？ ロス；あぁ、マーセルのことなんだ。彼はずっとぼくと関わりをもたない ようにしているんだ。

＃３です。なんとも妙な"so"ですね。いろいろ気になり、【ランダムハウス英和】を見ていますと、接続詞の成句の紹介の欄に、こういうものがありました。多少変形します。 【get so …というまでになる】 The young policeman got so he could stand the sight of the (dead) body. その若い警察官は死体を見ても耐えられるようになった. 他の本格的な英英辞書に例があるかなと思い"OED""Webster"などを調べましたが、見つかりませんでした。 こういう用法が一般的に口語で使われているなら、どこかで説明してほしい事項ですね。 ●上の【get so ...】が【be so ...】になったと思えば筋は通りますが。 これもあくまで推測です。

This is so nice 「これは本当にいい」と同じ文法でしょう。 nice は形容詞ですが、　not what I need now　「いま要るものではない」　は形容詞節の働きをしています。 　　　　「これは本当にいま要るものではない」　＞　これこそ今必要ないものの最たるもの　＞　これほどいま要らないものも無いよな　＞　俺に必要ないものっていろいろあるけど、これほど要らないものは無いな　＞　こんなもの（＝大きなパーティー）俺が望んでいるとでも思っているのか？冗談じゃないよ。ったく。

いつも登場人物の性別も分からず回答しています。 レイチェルが、最初に"Oh, c'mon."と言っていますが、これは話し相手のロスに対して何か、せかすというか、レイチェル自身の何かの主張に乗り気でないロスに対していって言葉ではないかと思います。 それに対してロスが"this is so not what I needed right now"といったわけですが、この中の"so"が問題のようです。これは文語では"therefore"の意味で普通の意味だと思います。本来は文頭に来るのですが、会話では中に入ったのでしょう。 "So this is not what I needed right now" 「だから（言ってるじゃない！）こんなこと（パーティー？）は当面私には必要のなかったことだって！」という簡単な意味ではないでしょうか？ 音声があるなら確認されてみて下さい。"so"に特別な意味があれば"is"に強勢があると思います。 上に言ったような意味なら、"so"のあとにわずかでもポーズがあると思います。 あくまで推測ですので、ご参考まで。

> This　is so not what I needed now. 　私の想像では、so が強調のために挿入されている。基本はあくまでも This　is not what I needed now. という文だと思います。 　--　ねぇ、でっかいパーティやりましょうよ。誰が誰とつるんでるかなんて、知ったこっちゃない。 　--　今なすべきことは、そんなことじゃないわ。 　--　何か問題でも？ 　--　マルセルのことよ。わたしをまるで無視してるの。まるでやる気ないみたいにうろついてる・・・ 流れが分らないので、訳はほぼでっち上げですが・・・
