Physical development Adolescence is often considered to begin with puberty, the appearance of mature sexual characteristics. In girls this is marked by menarche, the onset of menstruation. The average age is about 12^1/2 years , but the normal range is of growth in height and weight begins to increase, reaching a peak about a year before the menarche. The peak rate is the most rapid growth in the postnatal period. Because of its timing, this period of rapid growth is sometimes called the preadolescent growth spurt. In boys there is no striking change analogous to the menarche to mark the beginning of adolescence. However, a growth spurt in height and weight occurs, and its pattern is about the same as in girls except that it is about two years later. Thus, adolescence begins about two years later in boys than in girls. Like girls, boys vary widely in the age at which puberty begins. However, the “average” early-maturing boy begins puberty at about the average normal age for the beginning of puberty in girls. Similarly, the “average” late-maturing girl begins puberty at about the average normal age for boys. Research shows such individuals have few problems in learning to adjust to the opposite sex. The early-maturing boy has the better time of it, though, because he is also a hero to the normally-maturing boys, while the late-maturing girl is not well accepted by normally-maturing girls. In contrast, the early-maturing girl is too far ahead of her classmates of both sexes, and the late-maturing boy too far behind. Both have adjustment problems.

In C.G.Jung's model, there are two major attitudinal types: extraversion and introversion. There trems have become famous and part of the cultural knowledge of most educated persons, although few people outside the field of psychology realize that they originsted in jung's work. The primary difference between extraversion and introversion is that in extraversion there is an outward movement of interest toward the object, while in introversion the movement of interest is away from the outer object and toward the suject. Although interest is often in the same direction as the person's activities, the primary indication of extraversion and introversion is based on the direction of interest, not the direction of activity. In addition to the major orientation of the personality as extraverted or introverted, C.G.jung described four functions, which in combination yield a finer deacription of personality typology. the four functions are thinking, feeling, intuition and sensation. Thinking and feeling are called "rational" functions because it is possible to order events and attitudes with either of them. Intuition snd sensation are called "irrational" functions.

PAL or NTSC is not an issue anymore any modern DVD player will play both I should know even though England is a Pal region we play NTSC all the time which is handy because all the big HBO shows are NTSC. there was the DVD which was not watched in PAL(I am not sure what you mean but could it be a faulty disc?).

This name is too long for everyday purposes and is usually abbreviated to the UK. The UK is made up of four countries(not regions),which are,in decreasing order of size:England,Scotland,Wales and Northern ireland. Great Britain is actually the name of the main island containing England,Scotland and Wales. The most common way,however,to refer to the whole country is Britain. This is not the official name,but most people use it because it is short and convenient. England,Scotland,Irelandand Wales all developed as separate kingdoms with their own languages and customs. As England became more powerful,it wanted to extend its control over the three Celtic kingdoms. It conquered Wales(1282) and Ireland(1652) and became politically united with Scotland(1707). But Scotland,Wales and Ireland never lost their status as separate countries. In the early 20th century, Ireland became an independent country known as the Irish Republic(or Eire,in the Irish language). Six counties in the northeastern corner,however,remained part of Britain,and are known as Northern Ireland.
