英語として読んで、この end は「目的」で問題ないと思いますが、「民本主義」とは何かを考えればわかります。 民主主義（democracy の訳語ですが、これは主義主張ではなく、制度ないしは政体のことです）が主権は人民にあるとするのに対し、 民本主義というのは、主権の所在にかかわらず（たとえ天皇にあっても）、政治の目的は人民の利益のためにある（いや、英語の発想では、政治の目的は人民の利益だ）ことを主張するものです。

It’s not activity that disturbs people, but false conceptions of things that drive them mad.” に関する質問です。 let it keep that end in view. をどのように理解すれば良いのか分からないです。 文法的には、 keep AC だと理解できるのですが、 それ以外の文章理解が分からないです。 「it は漠然とした状況で、そういったあなたの周りの環境を、全努力を傾けているなんらかの対象の目的にせよ？」なのか、 「itは全努力を傾けているなんらかの対象で、それをその目的にせよ？」どちらの理解もしっくり理解できないです。 理解の仕方を解説宜しくお願いします。
