英文の意味がわかりません。 undercut　という単語に困っています。

http://www.spaceandtech.com/spacedata/rlvs/rlvs.shtml このサイトに次の英文があるのですが、　 At the same time, a number of entrepreneurial companies have developed their own RLV concepts in an effort to reduce launch costs and undercut established launch vehicle providers. undercut 以降が　わからないです。launch vehicleのproviderを 不必要にした、ということでしょうか？ できれば　providerがどういう存在なのか、、それの説明もお願いします。

「undercut」、、、、、、、、これは日本語の「~~~の足下をすくう」」→「~~~の下をゆく」と訳すと適訳に近いものとなります。　 「先行業者の下をゆこうとして」とでも仮約しておきましょうか? ご免なさい、「~~~の下をゆく」は関東方面でも普通使われていますかね、こちら箱根より西ですから、ちょっと不安です!(笑)

to reduce launch costs and undercut established launch vehicle providers. と有ることから、 「打ち上げコストを低減し、既存の打ち上げ機提供社（者）（のコスト） を下回ること」 の意味ではないでしょうか。
