和訳がうまくできません。
うまく訳ができませんのでお願いします。 If eight hours of work is considered as one man day, the Indian rural women work more than two man days everyday both in home and farm together. この文で以下のように訳してみました。 もし、8時間労働が1日1人の男性として考えららるならば、インドの女性はきちんと家と農場の両方で毎日、2日2人以上働いています。 one man dayとtwo man dayがいまいちわかりません。

man day というのが、１日１人の人が働く量の単位だと思います。仮に「１人日」と訳しますと 「もし８時間労働が「１人日」とすれば、インドの田舎の女は、家事と畑仕事を合わせると、毎日「２人日」以上仕事をする。」 ここでは仮に「人日］としましたが、労働省などの使う正式な単位名があると思います。似た単位としては、man hour(s) 「人１時間の労働量」、などがあります。

男性一人分の労働時間を仮に一日8時間と考えるなら、インドの農村に住む女性は、男性二人分を上回る労働を、家と農場の双方で毎日こなしていることになる。
一日一人の男性は ちとおかしいです。一日平均労働時間 と意訳してもいいのでは。 ほかの人の意見求む。

「もし８時間労働が一人の男性の一日分だとしたら、インドの地方の女性は、家庭と農場の両方で、男性２人分以上の労働をしているのである。」 つまりインドの女性はなんだかんだで16時間以上働いているのですよ。男性の倍ですよ。大変でしょうというニュアンスです。 one man day 「男性の１人分／１日」 two man day 「男性の２人分／１日」と考えればよいでしょう。
