Specialists on the scene are worried that the oil spill may make its way to an important wildlife sanctuary only 12 miles northeast of the stranded freighter. わからない箇所はSpecialists～freighterです。大まかな意味はだいたいわかるのですが、とくにmake its way to以下の訳がよくわかりません。あとこのmake its wayはイディオムかなんかでしょうか？あと、私はsanctuaryとonlyの間にわかりやすくするためにコンマを打ってもよいと思いますがどうだと思いますか。 回答宜しくお願い致します。

Do you think that parents should pressure their children to compete ? Write a passage of 5 sentence in English. この問いに対する私の英作です。 I think that parents should not pressure there children to compete. Parhaps children began to compete something, provided children like it. But If parents gives exceeding pressure their children to compete, children come to dislike it. Even if they like it. The best way that parents only keep watch children. Therefore, children began to compete even whithout pressure. 私はよくないと思う。おそらく好きだったら自分で競争しはじめる。しかし、もし親が重圧をかけるぎると嫌いになってしまう。たとえそれが好きなことであっても。一番いいのは見守ることだ。それゆえ、プレッシャーをかけなくても・・・・ みたいな事が書きたかったのですが。 添削よろしくお願いしますm(_ _)m

(1)～(4)はそれぞれIt's~の文だったり、It's+形容詞や名詞だったり、それにあわせてfor やtoの前置詞がついていたりThat ~isの文だったりしています。 for とtoの使い方がどれがあっていてどれがまちがっているかがわからないこと (1)～(4)までの文でどれが使えないかわかりません。 教えてください。よろしくお願いします。

文の構造について。 I started to have problems with circulation and numbness in my lower legs while driving long distances. My car is only 4 1/2 year old, yet I finally figured out it was likely the seat, and I could not adjust the angle of the seat so that I didn't have this problem. のMy car is only 4 1/2 year old,以下の文ですが、ざっくりとした意味は「4年半しか乗っていないが、シートの角度を調整できないことが下肢の血の巡りが悪くなり麻痺する原因だとわかった」だと思うのですが・・細かい文の構造がわかりません。 ・My car is only 4 1/2 year old, のくだりは「4年半しか乗っていないので、車自体 には問題はない」というニュアンスでしょうか？このくだりと、後に繋がる文の関係が 良くわかりません。 ・so thatで繋げている意味がわかりません。so thatは結果を表すと思うのですが シートの角度を調整できない結果、下肢の血の巡りが悪くなり麻痺しなくなった？？ 逆ではないでしょうか？ ご意見よろしくお願いいたします。

it is the use to which it is put which mekes it beneficial or dangerous. 訳は「それを有益なものにするか危険なものにするかは、それの利用のされ方である。」で、 この文はあとのwhichの方が強調構文で、put～to useで「～を利用する」らしいのですが、it is the use to which it is put の部分が全くわかりません。。なぜ熟語が離れているのか全く理解できません。。 あと、 those upon whose smile and well-bing our own happiness depends. 訳は「その人々のほほえみと幸せにわれわれ自信の幸せがかかっている人々」です。 これはなぜ「その人々のほほえみと幸せ」が主語というのはわかるのですが、なぜ目的語として訳されているour own happiness がdependsの前にあるのかがわかりません。。 この文の構造を教えてください。お願いします。
