kumbaya feeling
Seattle Timesに、 "Boeing has sacrificed quality for a kumbaya feeling." とありました。 訳すとしたら「ボーイングはkumbaya感情のために品質を犠牲にした」とかになると思うのですが、この"kumbaya"とはどういう意味なのでしょうか？判る方いましたらお教えください。 http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/northwestvoices/2009849364_boeing_will_787_line_move_to_s.html

"kumbaya feeling" = campfire feeling 日本語にするなら "仲良し感情" とかになると思います。 本来の "come by here" の意味ではないです。^^

「偽善」とまでいうと言葉が強すぎる気がします。 kumbaya というのはアフリカのアンゴラで広まった曲が元になっているらしくて、元々の意味は "come by here" という意味だったとか。 自分の側を通り抜けていくわけですから、「その場限りの」「場当たり的な」みたいな軽薄な感じが伴うのかもしれません。 確固とした土台（見通し、ヴィジョン）に基づいていない、ということでは？

ありがとうございます。 先のWikiにはも"The song was originally associated with human and spiritual unity, closeness and compassion,"とあります。「歌は、もともとは人間と精神の統一、親密さと思いやりと結びついていた。」とでも訳すんですかね。"come by here" で、皆でキャンプファイヤーを囲って歌う本当は良い曲なのでしょうね。 それが、だんだん極端な意味が付加してきたのでしょうかね？そう思うと「その場限り」の意味が強いのかもしれませんね。 でも「その場しのぎ」で飛行機の品質を犠牲にされたらたまったもんではありませんね(ただこの記事全体もちょっと極端に書き過ぎていて、そのまま受け取れませんが・・・)。
