Gです。 こちらにも書かせてもらいますね。 一般的に使われていて正しいとされる表現をこのカテで6年間紹介してきました。 そして、学校文法では正しいとされているのかも知れないけど使われない表現も書かせてもらってきました。 使える英語、おかしいと思われない表現、英語力があると思い込んでいる人が使ったら「なんだよお前」と言われてしまわない表現などを中心に書いてきました。 ＞いつアメリカにくるの？と聞かれ、いまのところ行く予定はないよ。仕事が忙しくて。といいたいのですが英語おしえてください i have not plan.. go to US, cause my work is busy.. ここでの表現方法で気をつけなくてはならないところが数箇所あります。 いまのところ行く予定はないよ。i have not plan.. go to US,はI have no plans to go to US at this moment.と言う表現が使えるわけですが、その前に、I love to butと行きたいんだけど、と言う表現をちょっとくっつけるだけでフィーリングがかなり違ってきます。 no plansですが、I have no plansと言う言い方をして、I have no planと言う表現では非常にきつくなってしまい（きつく聞こえる）普通このように単数では使いません。 これは覚えておいてください。 at this momentとと言う表現をして、今のところ、と言う表現を使うことで、「絶対にいかないと言うわけではないんだよ、ただいまのところはね」と言うフィーリングが出てくるわけです。 だからこそ日本語の文章にもこれが入っているわけですね。 仕事が忙しくて。cause my work is busyはちょっと表現を変えて、I am busyと言う表現で「仕事で忙しい」と言うフィーリングを出すには二つのよく使われる表現があります。 それはI am busy with my workと言う表現とI am busy workingと言う表現をします。 よく日本人がする間違いともいえる表現として、busy for my work, busy in workingと言う表現です。 これらの表現はまずしないのですね。 仕事のために忙しい、と言う日本語的表現からforになりがちですが英語では、仕事で、と言うフィーリングをbusy with仕事と共に忙しい<g>と言う表現をするわけです。 そして、busy in workingは学校文法ではそう習うのかもしれませんが、この前置詞をいれることは今ではおかしい表現と感じられてしまいます。 両方ともインターネットで検索すればその使用頻度の差は雲泥の差とも言えるのはわざわざ見なくても推測できる事実です。お時間がありましたら、引用符に"busy for"と"busy with"、ないし"am busy working"と"am busy in working"と比べてみてください。 最近は忙しくて、と言うフィーリングを出したい時にthese daysと言う表現を使う時には、現在形を使います。 現在完了はほとんど使いません。 これも調べてみてください。 "I am busy these days"と"I have been busy these days"とですね。 これにも雲泥の差が出てくると思います。 私事ですが、イギリスからの友達がいるので聞こうとしたのですが掴まりませんので、イギリスからのメールをすべて検索して取り出しこの表現の使用頻度の違いを調べてみました。 800通くらいあるイギリスからの教養のあるビジネスマンや教育者たちからのメールで近況を伝える文章が結構多いのですが、am busy these daysと言う表現の方が25対1くらいの差でhave been busy these daysより多く使われています。 つまり、この表現は、I am,～の状態にいる、busy these daysと言う状態、「最近忙しいと言う状態に」いる、と言う表現がI am busy these days.なのですね。 しかし、同じようなフィーリングのrecentlyと言う単語ですと、まったく逆になります。 アメリカではもちろんですし、イギリスからのメールもそれ以上に差があります。つまり、I am busy recentlyではなく、I have been busy recentlyと言う感じですね。Recently, I have been busyと言う表現はより一般的なんですがこれを入れたらI amの方はおかしな表現とされるでしょうね。 そして、これは、最近、忙しい日々を迎え（続け）ている、と言う表現だから、最近Recentlyを前に持ってきてカンマをつけ、継続を示している現在完了形を使っているわけなのです。 使える文法知識ですね。 学校文法では使えないと言うことなのです。 しかしです。 ここからが私からの表現方法の考え方としての回答となります。 自分がいくかいかないかは、最近の事でも今の事ではないですね。 将来の事ですね。 だったら、そう表現するのが、忙しく行けないと言う論理ではないでしょうか? 今まで忙しくたって来月いけるかもしれないですね。 しかし、この忙しさが長く続くようであれば行ける予定は作れない、と言うことのもなると思いませんか? I'm afraid I have no plans to go to US because I have been so busy and I don't think I will have time to go to US for a long time.と言う表現にすると理解しやすいわけですね。 残念ながらアメリカに行く予定はないのです、なぜなら、今まで忙しすぎてアメリカに行く時間を持つには時間がかかりそう、と言う表現をしているわけです。 どうか、実際の使われている表現を重要視し、それを使えるように身につけてくださいね。 ちょっとした違いが後で大きな影響を必ず与えます。 参考になりましたでしょうか。 分かりにくいところがありましたら締め切る前にまた書いてくださいね。

No.5です。お返事を有難うございます。補足質問にお答えします。 ご質問： ＜busyのinと withのことが書かれていましたが、forはつけますか？＞ 「～に忙しい」の前置詞は通常withを使います。Forは使ってしまいそうですが、busyの対象を表す前置詞としては使いません。 また、no＋可算名詞では、強調用法ではnot any plan「いかなる～もない」から転じてno plan「いかなる～もない」と複数形にしない用法があります。 また、these daysは英国では現在完了形と一般に併用されています。 例： I’ve been busy these days.「ここのところずっと忙しい」 これは机上の理論ではなく「慣用」です。 ご参考までに。

こんにちは。昨日のご質問ではお返事を有難うございました。 １．「いまのところ」： for the moment を使うと、「ここ当面は」「ここしばらくは」という、やや長期のニュアンスを出せます。 ２．「行く予定はない」： have no plan to go there ３．「仕事が忙しくて」： busy with my work busy in working 名詞がくる場合は前置詞はwith、動名詞ならin ～ingを用います。 動詞の時制は使う副詞によって現在形、現在完了形（継続用法）どちらも使えます。 （１）now＋現在形 （２）these days「ここのところ」＋現在完了形 ４．「～なので」： 理由を後付けする接続詞はbecauseの他に、等位接続詞のforもあります。後者では、すぐ前にコンマを置きます。Forの方が、やや洗練されたこなれた表現になります。 ５．以上を踏まえて訳例は I have no plan to go there for the moment because I’m busy now with my work. （直訳）「ここ当面はそこに行く予定はない。今仕事が忙しいから」 For the moment I have no plan to go there, for I’ve been busy in working these days. （直訳）「今のところそこに行く予定はない。ここのところ仕事で忙しいから」 となります。 以上ご参考までに。

It would be nice! では、どうでしょうか。 I have no plan. だと、ちょっと寂しい感じがします。今そんなこと考える余裕ないんだよという感じがするというか。「行きたいという気持ちがない」というか。また、I wish I could とか、I would love to but..というのは、呼ばれて行けない時の決まり文句なだけに、それがないと寂しい(冷たい）感じがします。 その後を足したのは、でも会いたい気持ちはあるよというのを付け足して見ました。仕事が大切であなたのことは大切じゃないというようなニュアンスを消すために。 よくWhen are you coming to see us?って聞かれますよね?(聞かれないですか？）社交辞令とは思うのですが、私は、天邪鬼だからか、会いたい気持ちがあるならそちらから来てよという気持ちも含めて、「日本には来ないんですか？」と聞き返します。たいてい、「まあ素敵、そのうちね！」と言われます。実際に来てくれた人たちもいますが。 でも、すごく親しくて、直接ばばっと物を言い合う仲だったら、逆に社交辞令に聞こえてしまうこともあるかもしれません。

I have no plans (to go to US) for now. I've been busy recently. これで十分。 今のところ --> for now よてい --> plans （複数形推奨）

I`m not sure of when I will finish school because there are alot of circumstances involved. First, I have just moved to a different state so I don`t want to go to school immediatly because my tuition would be very high (takai!!!). And then, I am also hoping to get a sponsor for my tuition when I begin my new school out here in California. There are hospitals which would sponsor my schooling but in return I have to work for that hospital for at least one year after graduating. It`s okay but I am very picky and can`t decide who I would rather work for. Another circumstance is that some of my completed courses will not transfer and so I will not receive credit for those classes. It is frustrating because either I will have to do those classes again or I will have to complete some similar classes to even get credit for my work. いつも御世話になっています(^_^)看護学校に通う子からのメールです。 (1)when I begin my new school out here in California. この部分のoutはどのように訳したらいいのでしょうか？ (2)たびたびcreditとういう単語がでてくるのですがこれは信用と訳したほうがいいのでしょうか？？ (3) It is frustrating because either I will have to do those classes again or I will have to complete some similar classes to even get credit for my work. の部分はどこで区切って訳したらいいのか全くわかりません。誰かお時間とれるかたお願いしますm(__)m

College: At the time I went to college, I was very young and did not know what I wanted to do. I also didn't know how to prioritize my school, work and my relationships. Relationships always came first, and I was a bit confused at the time as well. I skipped school a lot, just because I didn't feel like being there. I think I was a bit depressed - it may have been self-induced. But now, I have changed a lot. I now am very responsible at my job and in my home life. And since I have a stable relationship, I feel like I can really focus my time on what needs to be accomplished. I do want to go back to school. I actually planned on applying next week, but my boyfriend's job is not entirely secure at the moment - they are cutting positions - firing people whose jobs are not completely necessary, and so Todd is nervous and asked me if I minded waiting. By myself, I am trying to study Regulatory Affairs regulations. For my job, I have to do a lot of research to know what I'm talking about each day, because technically, I'm not qualified to hold my position. But luckily, I work for a small company and have the opportunity to try to make it work. And so far, I feel I have done very well, and I have been recognized for my achievements. I was not sure at first what I wanted to study, but now I think I'm pretty confident that I want to obtain a degree in Business. This is a very broad degree, but you can work in almost any field and with that degree, you have the potential to climb very high up the corporate ladder. That's not my goal. but my goal is to make enough money that Todd and I can travel a lot, and I also want to help out with buying a house eventually, and having the security of a good income.
