添削してください。
こんにちは。上達のために英語日記をつけてます。 A friend of ●● came to my house to play. （●●は、私の子供の名前です） They did only the video game. I thought it to be bad to eyes. So I promissed with them, "stop the game by 3:00!" They read books, after game was over. （●●の友達がうちに遊びに来ました。 彼らはゲームばかりしていました。 目に悪いと思いました。 だから「ゲームは3時までよ！」と約束しました。 ゲームを終えた後、彼らは本を読んでいました。） 箇条書きのような日記でお恥ずかしいですが、英文について間違ってる点などありましたら、ご指南ください！

参考までに 文章を作る時は、いかに簡単に、簡潔に書くかが重要です a friend/●● came to my place to hang out. s/he played the video game for a while, and i thought it would be bad for his/her eyes. so i told him/her to finish it by 3. then s/he was reading a book after all. できるだけ日本語の表現から離れて英語表現を使うようにすれば、無理の少ない簡潔な文章ができると思います。”約束”とか”遊ぶ”という日本語を英語にするとplay とかpromiseとか使いがちですが、この単語を使わなくても十分似たような、それでいてもっと自然な表現を使うことは可能です(hang out/tell sb to do など)。そうすれば文章が簡潔になります。もちろん英語表現を身につけるには時間がかかりますが、がんばってください。 参考まででした

●●をTaro とし、友達は一人とします。日本文が五つの文になってますから順に： ( )内は省略可 / はどちらか A friend of Taro came to my house to play. は間違いではないと思いますが、play の後に何かをつけたほうがしっくりいく感じがします。 ... to play with him. 試案： Masao(よく来る友なら名前）came (to our home) to play with Taro. Masao, a friend of Taro, ... They did only the video game. ビデオゲームは一つしかなく貴殿も知ってる「あのXXXというビデオ」というイメージですか？ それとも、ゲームはいろいろあるのですか？ 前者だったら貴英文で良いと思いますが、そうでないなら定冠詞なしの複数形がいいと思います。 試案： They did nothing but play video games. Ｎｏ．３です。 あまりにぶっきらぼうな回答で失礼しました。 ちょっと解説（怪説？）させていただきます。 the videogame（the＋単数）だと一つの特定のゲーム（ソフト）を意味し、読み手が「何のソフト？」という本意とは違った方へ興味を引かれる可能性が出ます。そこで、ここは定冠詞theは使わず、加えて「手当たり次第色んなゲームを」のイメージを持たせるために複数形にしました。 promiseのくだりは、他の方が仰っている通りですね。 game was over.は、まず文法的に冠詞＋gameにするか、複数形gamesにしないとエラーになります。 加えて、(The/A) game(s) was/were over.だと、ゲームが勝手に終わったことになってしまいます。 ここは子供達が「ゲームを終えた」という言い方の方がいいですね。

A friend of ●● → ●●'s friend Today などを入れたほうがいいかな。 did → played のほうがいいかも。 They did nothing but play the video game. という表現もあります。 I thought it (to be) bad for their eyes. So I had them promise that they would stop it (the game) by 3:00 p.m. after game was → after the game was 可算名詞には冠詞かそれに相当する語句が必要。

One of ●●'s friends came (to my house) to play. (But) they played only videogames. I thought it was not good for their eyes, and I made them promise to stop it before three. After they quitted the games, they read books. てなところですかねぇ

全体の表現は、多少好みもあるかと思いますが、一点だけ指摘させて頂きます。 "So I promissed with them"のくだりですが、これでは「私が彼らに約束した」となってしまうかと。 逆に"They promissed me"とすると、意味は正解になるかと思いますが、なんだか硬い表現ですね（＾＾； ご参考までに。

ザクッとですけど、不慣れな添削をしてみました。 Yesterday/Today, one of my son/daughter came to my house to play their favorite video game. Fearing playing videogame for long is not good for kid eyes, I gave them my warning saying; “Stop playing by 3:00 pm.” They said “Yes”. As promised, they stopped the game around 3:00 pm. They were reading some books after the game. Yesterday or today - これはご自由に one of my son/daughter ( one of の後にお子さんの名前を) to play their favorite videogame - お気に入りのゲームする為 Fearing playing videogame for long is not good for kid eye 長時間のゲームは子供の目に悪いと恐れて(=心配して) give them my warning - 警告したよ! (直訳:彼らに私の警告を与えた)、(下記)と言いながら saying ; (三時迄よ、遊ぶのは)と言って They said “Yes”. 判ったよ! (原文に無し、でも現実感持たせるため勝手に脚色) As promised, 約束通り (原文にはありません、私が勝手に入れました) 三時にはゲーム止めて、本を読んでいた。(直訳、ゲームの後本を読んでいた) 追伸:videogameの代わりに「Play Station」やらとしてもイイですね。

お願いします。英語で毎日、日記を付けています。以下見られても問題ないので、添削頂けると助かります It rained on and off today. I was very worried whether fireworks show would perform or not as schedule. Sometimes it came down in buckets. Consequently, the rain had let up before the fireworks display. Family T and Family S came to my house to see that. Last year, I placed a table in balcony and ate a supper while stood up. But, this year, I spread a mat and ate it while sat down. My relatives, friends, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Many fireworks filled the sky. It was great. But, it started raining again during the fireworks. Since it was cats and dogs, I thought it might be call off, but it did not. I appreciated this fireworks show’s organizer.

I closed my eyes . However,my friend was going to help the person. If he help the person, the next bullying target he will be come. But,he helped him. He persuade the bad guys dont bullying others. In the end, bullying stopped and my friend did not become the target of bullying. I thought my friend had courageous. I thought that I would also like to become as courageous as he was.

すみませんが英語の添削を御願いします よろしく御願いします I bought a new ipod touch yesterday. I have been using windows computers and sony's mp3 players so this is my fist time to buy an Apple's product. I got home from shopping and opened the box and then I tried to read an instruction manual as always I do when I get a new product. Jeez! theres was no manual in the box! I thought factory workers must have forgot to put it into the box. Just then, a friend of mine came by my house and said "No, nobody made a mistake. It's normal. That's the way Apple's products are". :-O

It was hard task than I had thought. I thought that single-mothers in the world are very tough then. By the way, I and my husband want to build a detached house, so we are looking for the land recently. We can't find the proper land which we both satisfy, however. It's very difficult to decide where to live. I think we need big power to find the proper land where we live in the future.
