(1)This car needs washing=(2)This car needs to be washed で(2)の方はwashに目的語がないことから受動態ができるのは わかりますが、なぜ(1)＝受動態、(2)＝能動態ならダメなのでしょうか。 確かにwashingの意味上の目的語がthe carになるのはわかりますが、 これはThis car is necessarry to washと同じ用法なのでしょうか。 もしそうなら(2)の方こそこの用法で書くべきだと思いますがわかりません。詳しい方、詳細な解説をお願いします。

He is said to be a liar.（彼は嘘つきといわれている）という文章を能動態にするとどうなるのでしょうか？ 例えば： 受動態 He(主語） was taken to the park by me. 能動態 I take him(目的語) to the park. のように、通常、受動態の主語は能動態にすると動詞の目的語ですよね？ けど、 受動態 He(主語）is said to be a liar. をすなおに 能動態 Someone says him(目的語) to be a liar. (????) とするとおかしくなります。 なぜなら、say を使って say 目的語 to be ～ という言い方はできないですし。。。 よろしくお願いします。

タイトル通り初期段階の英語で苦戦しております。 全く理解不能なので簡単に教えてくれると助かります。 受動態と能動態の問題で They speak Arabic in Egypt.を受動態に Salmon is caught in Alaska.を能動態に直したいのですが、全くわかりません。 これ以外にも問題があるので、参考にしたいため回答の方をよろしくお願いします。
