”初夢”の英語説明について教えてください。
アメリカに住む友人へのクリスマスプレゼントにと、初夢を見るために枕の下に置くという和手ぬぐいを購入しました。(1)富士、(2)鷹、(3)なすびの絵がついたものなのですが、英文での説明文がうまく作れません・・・。高校以来、ウン十年・・・。英語が苦手で・・・。通じればいいのかなと思っていますが、あまりに文章がひどそうで・・。笑わずにご教授ください。よろしくお願いします。 This is a Japanese washcloth. アメリカに37年住んでいる者です。 私なりに書かせてくださいね。 日本のことを説明するのに私が良く利用するサイトです。 へぇと思うことも書いてあることがあります。 google.comなどでも "hatsuyume" dictionary OR glossary OR words OR terms OR lexiconと言うように検索するとたくさんの説明したサイトが見つかります。 その中で良いなと思うURLを教えてあげても良いとおもいますよ。 ＞This is a Japanese washcloth . 説明の順番を並べ替えた方が分かりやすいのでは？ 例えば： In Japan, we believe that the dream you have on the night of January 2nd (hatsuyume, or "the first dream") will tell what the new year is going to be for you. If you dream about Mt. Fuji, your new year will be great one. Put this cloth under your pillow, and you'll have a lucky hatsuyume. The cloth is called "tenugui", which Japanese people use in a bath to wash their body. I wish you will have a good dream.

以前、あるテレビ番組で日本の歌をわざと英語に直したのを見て何の歌かというのを当てるゲームがあって、英語に直して歌ってもあまり違和感がなかったのを覚えています。ドラえもんなら例えば「This is good. I wish I could do it. That dream This dream I have many dreams…」と歌うわけです。この要領で「とんぼのめがね」の歌を違和感なく訳すとどうなるでしょうか。やっぱり「Dragonfry's glasses」から始まりそうですが。人に教えるとかそんなんじゃないので気軽に送ってください。 違う歌でこんなのできたよ！っていうのも歓迎します。

If someone has a dream, if someone falls in love The day will come when no matter who will think about those deeply と単純にしました。 しかし、ニュアンスが違う気がします。 例えば、「幸せを願う事こそが愛」の部分は、「まさにそれが愛！」のようにしたいのですが、 thatなどを使えば表現できるのかなとも思いましたが、分かりませんでした。 また、自分は「悩める日」を「恋に悩む日」と考えたのですが、「恋に悩む」という表現が分かりませんでした。 lovesick等は思いついたのですが、lovesickに限定してもいいものかが分かりませんでした。 申し訳ございませんが、アドバイス頂けないでしょうか？
