後述の英文中の表現 ”…such that S’V’…” についてご教示下さい。
4段落からなる時事英語的文章(出所は不明)で、直前までの要旨は次のとおりです。
商品の宣伝キャッチコピー(例えば、”no added sugar”や”not difficult to use”)には否定表現(例えば、noやnot)を含むものが多いようです。最近のSusan Jung Grantらの研究によれば、消費者はこの否定表現の情報処理に時間がかかってしまい、否定以外の部分(前記の例でいえば、”added sugar”や”difficult to use”の部分)につい意識が集中してしまうことがある、ことがわかってきたそうです。
さて、その後に以下の段落(最終の第4段落)が続きます。
Jung Grant and her colleagues explain that their “findings provide evidence that the processing of a negation follows a specific sequence such that the affirmation (“difficult to use”) is elaborated first, and then the negator tag (“not”) is incorporated in judgement.
いつか文法書や参考書の類を調べてみた結果、今のところ「様態(manner)」もしくは「程度(extent)」)を表す表現ではないか、と私は考えています。用例としては、

(話し手は各人が順番に回ってくるように選ばれる。)
(2) the linking of sentences such that they constitute to a narrative

2) 相手の、「成功を願う」等の表現を「励ましの言葉」と表現するのは適切か。
3)「再会を願う」という英文は、相手の英文とまったく同じ。より良い返し方はあるか。
4) 相手の結びは"Love"だったが、こちらの返信も"Love"とすべきか
5) 相手の国は今回の津波の被害をうけたが、「2005年が~」はふさわしいか。
