the understanding と並列関係にあるのであれば、controlもまたthe control というように定冠詞をつけて具体名詞化し、目的格のofとnatureの修飾を受けるべきなのではないか？
understanding と並列関係にあり、the を共通の冠詞として使用しているのか？しかし、毎日英語を音読しているのですが、a mother of a son and a daughter と言う表現はありますが、私の記憶の範囲では冠詞を共有する名詞の並列は読んだことが無いので、違和感を覚えます。
and は the understanding か understanding か、どちらと並列関係にあるのでしょうか。

なのですが、なぜher pearentsなのかがわかりません。問題の英文の主語はIなので、my pearentsになるのではないかと思ったのですがどう思いますか。私のメモが間違っていたかもしれないと思って、テストが近いので不安になりました。
