１。最後の英文の"that status"の"that"は何を指しているのでしょうか? one of the leaders of the democratic world だと思います。 ２。自分は"UN ambassador"を指していると思ったのですが、そうすると和訳とは違ってしまいます。単に"the"のようなものと思えばよろしいのでしょうか? １をごらんください。as 「として」は、等号で結んだも同様ですから that status ＝ one of the leaders of the democratic world という意味です。
