こんにちは 私は最近旅館で仕事を始めたのですが、予想以上に外国のお客様が多いのです。 せめて基本の接客用語だけでも英語で話せたらと思うのですが、 挙げてみると意外にもたくさんあることに気付きました（汗） 自力ではどうしようもありません・・・ どうか、お詳しい方、お力を貸してください！！！ - いらっしゃいませ　ごゆっくりお過ごしくださいませ Welcome and enjoy your stay with us! - 温泉のご説明をさせていただきます。 Please kindly let me explain the Onsen(Hot spring) - 大欲場は売店の横にございます。　24時間ご利用いただけます。 There is Daiyokujyo(big bath room) next to the shop. - 貸し切り風呂は廊下のつきあたりにございます。　24時間ご利用いただけます。 There is private bath at the end of the passage. This private hot spring can be used at anytime, 24 hours a day. - 予約制ではございません。　お越しいただいて、空いていればご自由にお使いいただけます。 Advance reservations not required. Please feel free to use it, if the private hot spring is not occupied. - ホワイトボードに何時までご利用されるかご記入いただき、鍵をかけてください。 Please fill out how long you are going to use private hot spring on the whiteboard, and please lock the door. - お部屋は　　　　号室でございます。 Your room number is….. 　＃１です。続きです。 １６。ここは、旅館の習慣が分かりませんので、 １７。　○。 １８。When would you like to have your dinner served? １８。　○。 １９。What kind of drink would you like with your meal? 　The will be a charged for alcoholic drinks.　（有料）の訳が無いのでこう付け加えました。 ２０。○。 ２１。Please enjoy with our excellent hot springs.「我々の素晴らしい温泉をどうぞ楽しめ」（言わなくてもいいような） ２２。Do you have any food you cannot eat? 「食費制限はありますか？」で宗教上の理由と個人の好みの両方がカバー出来ると思います。 ２２。○。 ２３。What time would you like to have the breakfast? It is served between seven and eight thirty. ２４。○。ですが聞くと返事が面倒なので言わぬが花。 ２５。○。 ２６。○。 ２７。○。Please come back and stay with us again. とも。 ２８。○。 　日本式に丁寧のつもりが翻訳では長くなって何の話かぼけることがあり、出来るだけ短くを心がけました。とてもよく訳してありますのでそのままでもよかったと思います。

　＃１です。余計なことです。切れ切れで済みません。 ＞＞＃２さんがガイジンさんが言ってくる言葉が理解できますか？と聞いていらっしゃいます。 　これは確かにあり得ることですが、お仕事ですからそうかと言って何も言わない訳には行きません。で、もうご存知でしょうが、聞き方で向こうの答を短くす居る方法をひとつ。 　まず次の二つを比べてください。 １。お客さんはフランスからいらっしゃいましたか　 Are you from France? ２。お客さんはどちらからいらっしましたか　Where are you from? 　１の答えは「はい」Yes か「いいえ」No です。 ２の答えは、例えば「私はオーストラリアから来ました」　I came from Australia.　と長くなります 　長いのは日本語で「ど」が付く時、例えば「どなた」「どこ」「どちら」「どこの国」に相当する言葉が質問にある時です。 　「ど」のほかに「何」「いつ」などを避けると、向こうの答が「イエス」か「ノー」だけで、短くなります。慣れるにつれて答が長くなる質問を増やせばいいと思います。 　僕は『花嫁のれん』をよく見ていますが、旅館のお仕事、大変ですね。

ガイジンさんが言ってくる言葉が理解できますか？　いくら流暢に文きり上で説明しても、向うが質問してきたことが聞き取れないと、？？？って気持になりますが。

It is open 24 hours a day. ５。 No reservation is needed.
