ただの英訳ならそんなもんでいいでしょうが、受験英語ならいくつか注意した方がいいかもしれません。 まず、船員は複数形ですから「船員達」くらいにした方がいいと思います。 それから、「知っていた」のは名詞（港）ではなくthat節ですから、that以下は「～であること」や「～であると」風に訳した方がいいと思います。 「船員達は、バルト海の港がどんどん浅くなってきていることを、長い間知っていました。」

Had I known you were ill, I'd have called to see you. という仮定法の文なのですが、後半の called の部分がわかりません。君を見舞いに行くために、電話をしたのだが、という意味でいいのでしょうか？ それとも訪れるということなのでしょうか？

You were gone so long when you left before that she took off to go look for you. 状況解説としては、 「トムはどこに行ったの？」 と訊ねるボブに対し、 「トムなら君を探しに出て行ったよ。だって君、ずいぶん長い間どこかへ行っていたものだから」 と言う場面の台詞です。 You were gone so longは「随分長い間いなくなっていた」 A before that Bで「Ｂよりも時間的に先にＡである」 She took off to go look for you「貴方を探しに向かった」 まとめると 「トムが貴方を探しに向かうよりも先に、貴方が立ち去ったとき、貴方は長い間いなくなっていた」 となってしまいます なぜ 「You were gone so long (so) that she took off to go look for you」 と普通に言わないのでしょうか？
