However, while no considerations of principle stand in the way, whether it is actually possible for international organizations to sue or be sued may depend on issues of immunity, as well as on whether or not they have standing, which in turn may or may not depend on whether they are to be considered as having legal personality.

Friction can be useful. For example, belt drives depend on friction to prevent slipping. On the other hand, friction in machines causes loss of power. Engineers try to reduce friction as much as possible by good design, using materials with a low coefficient of friction for devices such as bearings. We know that there are altogether only about one hundred different types of atoms. Atoms cannot be destroyed or changed in any way by chemical reactions: all that can happen is that the arrangement of the atoms is changed so as to produce another chemical substance with different properties. The role of the unsaturated zone in the hydrologic cycle is to transmit water falling or ponded on the land surface to underlying groundwater or temporarily store water near the land surface for plant use. In the process of moving through the unsaturated zone water may dissolve natural rock materials or carry manmade chemicals applied to or near the land surface.

多少長いので、簡単にでもいいです。 冷やかし無しで和訳をお願いします・・。 While the enterprise may have a life of its own, its present health and future growth surely depend on the individuals who guide its activities. Just what, then are the functions of the executives responsible for the fortunes of the enterprise? They coordinate, appraise, and plan. They may, at the same time, do the actual buying, selling, advertising, accounting, manufacturing, engineering, or research, but in the modern enterprise the execution or carrying out of these functions is usually left to such employees as salesmen, buyers, production supervisors and foremen,, technicians, and designers. In many cases, the executive does not even personally supervise the working force but rather administers the duties of other executives. In planning and coordinating the work of subordinate managers or supervisors, he allocates tasks and makes available the necessary equipment, materials, and other physical resources necessary to carry out the various jobs, In appraising their activities, he must decide whether the employees or subordinate managers are handling their tasks satisfactorily. If not, he can take action by changing or bringing in new physical equipment and supplies, by transferring or shifting the personnel, or by expanding or cutting down available funds. Thus, the term, administration, as used here, includes executive action and orders as well as the decisions taken in coordinating, appraising, and planning the work of the enterprise and in allocating its resources.

One has the feeling that the high specificity of point-to-point connections available in a structure made of wires or fibers could hardly be matched by the specific resonance of transmitters and receivers tuned to a set of radio frequencies. If the transmission of messages inside the brain takes place not in a three-dimensional continuum, but in a system of isolated wires, the question may still be asked, whether or not these wires are connected end to end in such a way as to make a net without interruptions. お願いしますm(__)m

Her love for the poor soon went far and wide to many places in the world. The Missionaries do not depend only on their kind hearts. They all learn professions like nursing or teaching in order to help the poor. One of their beliefs says, “We should be the salt of the earth.” お願いします。

The aim of the physicianin the treatment of insanity is to bring the means at his command to bear, directly or indirectly , on the disordered nerve elemnt. But, in striving to do this, he soon learns with how many bodily organs and functionshe has really to do. to callmind a function of the brain may lead to much misapprehension, if it be thereby supposed that the brain is the only organ which is concerned in the function of mind. There is not an organ in the body which is not in intimate relation with the brain by means of its paths of nervous communication, which has not , so to speak, a special corresopondance with it through internuncial fibres, and which does not, therefore, affect more or less plainly and specially its[ist=the brain's] function as an organ of mind. It is not merely that a parpitating heart may cause anxiety and apprehension, or a disorderedliver[may cause] gloomy feelings, but there are good reasons to believe that eachorgan has its specific influence on the constituiton and function of mind; an influence not yet to be set forth scientifically., because it is exerted on that unconscious mental life which is the basis of all that we consciously feel and think. were the heart of one man to be placed in the body of another it would probably make no difference in the circulation of the blood, but it might make a real difference in the temper of his mind. so close is the physiological sympathy of parts in the commonwealth of the body that it is necessary in the physiological study of mind to regard it as a function of the whole organism, as complehending the whole bodily life.
