environmental public managersの意味:: あくまでも想像というかボクなりの理解でしかありませんが、企業で環境戦略・環境政策を立案するようなポジションの人たちをいうのだと思います。 日本の会社でも各職場にISO14001のチェックをしている担当者がいますよね。日本の場合は大体、他の業務を経験したあとこのような業務を担当する人がほとんどです。 しかし、米国ではそんなことはありません。最初から大学でそういう勉強をしてきた人たちが専門家として企業に雇われるんです。多分、末端の職場でISO14001のことをケアする人とかじゃなくて、中央(本社)でそういうことを企画し社内に号令をかける業務を担当するんじゃないかな。そういう人たちのことではないかなと理解しました。 maintain the health of Earth's interconnected, institutional, ecological, economic and social systems 直訳すると 地球の、相互に接続され、組織的で、生態学的、経済的、社会的なシステムを健全に保つ ということだと思います。
