以下の論文の和訳が分かりません。 勝手ながら時間が無いので、できるだけ早く回答をお願いします。 Demographic parameters were compared among species during the early stage of seedling establishment among 3 topographic positions in combination with gap and canopy conditions. 専門用語は以下の通りです。 Demographic：個体群統計学の seedling：実生(植物の芽生えのこと) canopy：林冠(林の上部の枝葉の茂った部分)

英語自体は難しくないのですが... 「個体群統計学上のパラメータ(多分個体数のこと)を個々の種について、 空隙と林冠の状態を組み合わせた3箇所の熱帯立地での実生定着の初段階で比較した」

>ところで、topographic positionsは「熱帯立地」 >ではなくて「地形学的な立地」ですね 大変申し訳ありません。 頭の中でtropicalとごっちゃになっていました。 「個々の」というのは複数形を強調するために 入れたのですが、これが英語の試験でしたら 入れるべきではないのかも知れません。 あと、英語の論文は基本的に受動態で書かれる (主語＝私を省略してより客観的にするため) のですが、日本語の文では主語を省略した文が 極普通ですので、私は論文を日本語訳する時は 大概能動態に変換します。

Accurate micromanipulation is especially important for microsurgical procedures, such as vitreoretinal surgery, to maximize successful outcomes and minimize collateral damage. Robotic aid combined with filtering techniques that suppress tremor frequency bands increases performance; however, if knowledge of the operator's goals is available, virtual fixtures have been shown to further improve performance. In this paper, we derive a virtual fixture framework for active handheld micromanipulators that is based on high-bandwidth position measurements rather than forces applied to a robot handle. For applicability in surgical environments, the fixtures are generated in real-time from microscope video during the procedure. Additionally, we develop motion scaling behavior around virtual fixtures as a simple and direct extension to the proposed framework. We demonstrate that virtual fixtures significantly outperform tremor cancellation algorithms on a set of synthetic tracing tasks (p < 0.05). In more medically relevant experiments of vein tracing and membrane peeling in eye phantoms, virtual fixtures can significantly reduce both positioning error and forces applied to tissue (p < 0.05).

Individual colonies on PO-YE plates were used to inoculate liquid PO-YE medium or a liquid medium consisting of 15 mM PO-mineral salts (PO-MS) medium. Liquid cultures (100 ml) were incubated in 500-ml Erlenmeyer flasks with a gyratory shaker rate of 280 rpm to assure adequate oxygenation (8). Secondary liquid cultures used for quantitative measurements were inoculated by a 100-fold dilution of a previous culture which was in late exponential growth. Cultures were incubated at 30℃ except for Neiserria sicca, which was incubated at 37℃. Media used for agar plates were solidified with 1.8% agar. The proposed explanation for trench filling with a spherical morphology is that the incubation period may be due to the limited transport of Cu(1) species away from trench as compared to regions on the planar surface. 日本語訳を教えていただきたいのですが。ここで、incubation periodとは、銅析出が起こらない状態、つまりニ価の銅イオンが一価の銅イオンに変わっている状態のことをいいます。 あと、全体の流れとしては、めっき浴はCu-NH3浴を使用しており、銅イオンは二段階反応にて析出します。つまり、（１）２価の銅から１価の銅になり、（２）１価の銅が０価になり析出します。この浴を使用して、TiN基板上に直接めっきを行っているのですが、この基板にはトレンチがあり、ここに銅を完全充填しなくてはいけません。結果的には銅は充填しているようなのですが、その理由として、上記の英文に書いてあるのですが、よく意味がわかりません。 特に、transport of Cu(1) species away from trench の部分なのですが、transport とtransport...away の違いは何なのでしょうか。どちらも、トランスポートされるという意味のように思えるのですが・・。 すいませんが、よろしくお願いします。

among speciesを「個々の種」と訳すと、意味をより正確に伝えられるように思えてきました。 ところで、topographic positionsは「熱帯立地」ではなくて「地形学的な立地」ですね。
