いつもありがとうございます。 環境問題に関する自由英作文を書いたので、添削よろしくお願いいたします。 問題は種々の大学の過去問を参考に自作しましたので、 問題文自体の英語が拙いかもしれませんが、 そこも含めて、ご指摘いただけると、ありがたく存じます。 [Question] Describe what environmental problem you are the most interested in and explain the challenge to address, and the solutions. Write your essay in four paragraphs. [Answer] One of the environmental problems I am the most interested in is the international arrangements such as the Framework Convention on Climate Change. More than ten years ago, the third Conference of the Parties, what you call COP3, was held in Kyoto, where the Kyoto Protocol was adopted. About five years ago, this protocol went into force without the agreement of the United States, which eliminated the second most CO2 in 2009, followed by China. In addition, developing countries including China and India are not forced to decrease emissions. For these two reasons, many environmental specialists wonder if this treaty is effective for the environmental problem. Because of this matter, actually, Australia did not join it at the beginning. (This country joined now.) It seems strange to me that the countries, the GDPs of which occupy the first and second places, are not obligated to decrease greenhouse gas such as CO2. To solve this problem, I think that the Japan's government should lead the green innovation field all over the world. In fact, the government regards green innovation as one of a few available strategies for economic growth. It is often said that environmental technologies of Japan is leading. In my opinion, the government should promote these technologies and help export them. Because China's government says that the country cannot help emitting CO2 to develop, all Japan can do is to give China the same development as that done by emitting extraordinarily much CO2. By importing the technologies, China could develop without emitting so much. Japan's government should show the advantages to that of China; for example, China would improve the international trust, which is the probably most serious problem China faces now. To promotes these green innovation, Japan's government need to secure a considerable financial source. As you know, the government is facing a budget deficit; according to OECD, the budget deficit in relation to GDP of Japan is internationally much and the balance of Japan's debt in 2010 is by far the heaviest. This is why it is very difficult to secure the resource for promoting the green technologies. Because this field is surely expected to improve, however, the government would not love anything. - この英作文で文法ミスなど校訂してくれる人いますか？
現在独学で英語を学んでいます。そこで今回自分でアメリカと日本の文化の違いやどのようにして、文化の違いを克服するかをエッセーにしてみました。特にどこかに見せる訳ではないのですが、塾などに行くお金がないのでだれにも文法ミスなどチェックしてもらう人はいません。そこでよろしければ校訂していただけないでしょうか？？ The first thing that I learned from my experience in the United State is accepting different culture. There are a lot of different culture between in the United State and Japan. It is extremely important for me to overcome a cultural difference, but I need to take pride in Japanese culture too. For example, American is individualism, but Japanese is collectivism. American people do not hesitate eating out alone at restaurant; however, Japanese do because they do not want to eat under someone's lonely eyes. Surprisingly, some Japanese students eat a lunch inside of restroom stall because they want to make sure nobody finds out. They do not want to give a mistaken impression of not having any friends at school. However, American usually does not care about what other people think about you. Also, there are a lot of people who eat alone at dining room of Santa Rosa Junior College. Now I do not care about eating alone at all. The second different cultural experience is social system. It is very common in Japan that you supposed to pay respect and be polite to whoever is older than you. However, American is not strict to be polite. For instance, when I talk with my instructor, I always try to be formal. If I meet my instructor in outside of the class, I bow to the instructor first and talk him or her formally. However, in the United State, students call the instructors by their first name like a friend. One day, I was walking with my classmate on campus, and we met our instructor. I was going to bow to him, but the instructor waved his hand to us and my classmate also did it to the instructor. I was surprised at what my classmate did to him because it is a kind of rude to wave hand to our instructor in Japan. In my opinion, this American culture is a good because Japanese social system is sometimes extremely annoying. I always have to pay respect to whoever they are older than me. In japan, older people are absolute. You have to pay respect to older people even a year older than you. Therefore, you cannot against your supervisor. Even if your supervisor is less ability than you, you have to respect and talk formally to him or her. However, in the united state, you can be in a high position instead of older coworkers because people make a valuation according to your ability.

- 英作文、自由英作文について
横国では英作文、自由英作文が重視されていますので、早くから対策対策をしようと思い、英作文の例文暗記集(ドラゴンイングリッシュ基本例文100)を暗記して、予備校で英作文の講座(宮崎尊先生の英作文IV) を取っていますが、これだけで十分でしょうか。演習が足りなければ、どのような参考書、問題集がお勧めでしょうか。ちなみに、現在高2です。

最近、志望大学の英語の過去問を見て、どうやら長文２題と一番最後に英作文を出題するパターンが続いてるので、今年もそのパターンで来ると思うんですけど。 長文はともかく・・・英作文！まるで、書ける気しないよ。 文の並び替えならともかく・・・ただ文章があって、それを英語化するなんて日本人にできるかバカッ！！ あれを受験生に強いるのは、生まれた赤ん坊に漢字の書き取りを要求するようなもんだ！そんな無慈悲な・・・！！ けっこういろんな大学で最後に一題、英作文てのをよく見かたりするんだけど、あの、英作文問題は配点的に無視できないものなんですか？ ちなみに僕の志望の大学は中堅レベルでせいぜい偏差値５５ってとこなんですが、それでも英作文やらなきゃダメなの？ まさか、あの一問を白紙にして出したからって、一問で20点も30点分もあったりすることってある？あるわけないよね、やっぱりないよね？あー。よかった(^。^;)ホッ それと、英作文は、あれは完答でひとつの丸がつくんですか？ 国語とかだとたぶん記述式だとたいてい部分点がもらえると思うんだけど・・・。 ピリオドを忘れたとか、過去形にし忘れたとかしてもバツはバツで、それで間違えても白紙で出したときと点数が変わらないってことになるんですか？そんなことないよね、ないよねぇー、それで落ちたりしたらやっぱりかわいそうだもんね！！ そんなんで落ちたら死んでも死にきれ・・・いや、落ちても落ちきれない！！ 僕の学校のテストだと、それくらいなら部分点ちゃんともらえる！！ 受験の採点者ってオニ？違うよね、そうさ心のある人間、少しくらいマケてくれるさ・・・きっとそうだそうにちがいないそうなんだ！！ というわけで、上の質問を自分で勝手に納得して、結果自分を励ましてるけどそんなんじゃダメなので、ちゃんと真実を教えて、よろしくおねがいしまっす！！
