知らないうちに、気が付かないうちに = before you knew it で覚えていたのですが、 米国の人に、「You use easy English for me, before you know it.」 "before I knew it" means that you were busy doing something else, and without you noticing something happens example: I was eating candy while watching a movie, and before I knew it I ate ALL the candy in the box I was planning to study English all night, but I fell asleep before I knew it. (hmm sorry, I guess '"before I knew it" is hard to explain haha) I did that before I knew it. 。。 (you can't use it like that)

- earlier とbefore
(1) " Are you tired? " " I was earlier, but I'm not now. I wasn't happy where I was before. / I'm not the same person I was before.

When I surf the net I often lose track of time. Before I know it a few hours have gone by. I Know that it is a few hours~ ではないんですか(>_<)? I try go make my lunch the night before to save time.

I entered Florence at night time trembling half asleep listening to what the sweet river sang to me. I don’t know what paintings or books say (well, not all paintings or all books, just some) but I know what all rivers say. (著者:Neruda, Pablo. 書名:Grapes And The Wind. 最後のbut I know what all rivers say.

I spent Saturday night in a small hotel not many miles distant from Oxford. It was a peaceful little hotel that fell quietly asleep in the darkness as soon as the voices of the last birds and the last beer-drinkers had faded into silence. Weary as a result of unaccustomed exposure to the air, I fell under the soporific influence of the place, went early to bed, and was asleep before midnight. Suddenly between twelve and one, I was awakened by a crash. The house shook as though a football team were tumbling over the furniture in the room below. A gramophone began to whine rhythmically about love. Whether it was dancing or fighting that was going on to the music I did not know, but whatever it was, the violence was such that I was surprised that the house did not come falling about my ears.
