You might as well throw the money away as spend it on such a thing. これのspend it on such a thing についてなんですが spend such a thing にしてはだめなんでしょうか？ わざわざ代名詞「it」を置いてon such a thingを後置する意味がわからないです それともう一つ質問なんですが You can't be too careful in your choice of friends. in your choice of friends.の部分について なぜここで前置詞「in」が入るとわかるんでしょうか？ もしこれがcarefulの後には「in」が来ると決まっていることなら こういう後に来る前置詞などは皆さんどのように覚えているのでしょうか すべて暗記しているのでしょうか？ 質問が多くて申し訳ないです よろしくお願いいたします！

It's a pity that so many people tend to think only ((1)in respect of (2)in case of (3)in terms of (4)in point of) money.＜金蘭短大＞ この問題で問題集の解答は(3)の「とても多くの人がお金という観点からしかものを考えないという傾向にあるのは残念なことです」であったのですが、(2)は当然論外として(1)と(4)も意味、文法的に答えとなりえないでしょうか。 (1)、(4)何れも「～に関して」という意味の群前置詞であり、thinkを自動詞であると考えれば、双方とも"think of"や"think about"と同様に「とても多くの人がお金についてしかものを考えない傾向にあるというのは残念なことです」という意味になり問題ない様に感じられるのですが…。これは単にコロケーションの問題なのでしょうか。

教えて下さい。 文法の問題です。 All branches are in the process of modifying our safety regulations, _______ the policies being put into effect, all employees will receive new security cards. 選択肢 A)Nevertheless B)As one of C)Even if D)So as 正解はB)As one of で、 解説は以下のように書いてあります。 「意味はもちろんですが、文構造を正確に把握しましょう。 As one of は、前置詞として働き、分詞being put into effectを修飾しているので、 名詞の前に置かれる前置詞が入ります。」 ------------------- _______ the policies being put into effect, all employees will receive new security cards. putは動詞なので、節 , 節 で接続詞が入ると思うのですが、 なぜ、前置詞のas(接続詞のasではなく）なのでしょうか？ 文の意味上は理解できるのですが、文構造は接続詞が入るのではないでしょうか？ また、the policies being put into effect のbeing が理解できません。 なぜ、the policies put into effect ではなく、分詞が入るのでしょうか？ 教えて下さい。 よろしくお願いします。 ＊間違って削除してしまったため、再度投稿いたします。 申し訳ありません。

次の文が正しいでしょうか？自分なりに英訳してみました。 1）貴社よりご提供いただく情報は、いうまでもなく極秘扱いと致します。 英訳：Needless to say, we treat the information you provide us as strictly confidential. 2）特記ない限り、当社が出す値段は名古屋港本船渡しと致します。 英訳：We quote you the prices as F.O.B. Nagoya one, in the case of Nothing worthy of record. 以上です。如何かよろしくお願いします。多分どこか違っているような気もします。
