お世話になっています。
お世話になっています。 外国人の友人のメールの意味がわからず・・・ アメリカの宗教についての文章ですが、 The US is like a melting pot. melting pot. We have a little of everything here. I myself am a Catholic この中の We have a little of everything here.がわかりません。調べてみたら「多少」は、みたいな意味でよくりかいできませんでした。どなたかアドバイスお願いします。

We have a little of everything here.の意味につきまして、 特にa little of everythingは直訳しても「すべてのものもそれぞれの内の少し」という意味になりますので、「この米国ではほとんどのもの一部があります。」という意味になるとおもいます。

問題：下記の文章を和訳 It's those little differences we have that keep us from commiting suicide when we realize, early in life, that a lot of people have more brains than we have 解答 若い頃に、自分より頭のよい人が多勢いると気付いても自殺しないですむのは、われわれが持っているちょっとした違いのおかげである。 という解答なのですが、littleて「ほとんど～ない」と割と否定的な意味になるはずなのに、ここでの訳し方がよくわかりません。 普通なら、「little diffrence we have」て「違いがない」てことですよね・・・? この場合のlittleは文脈にそって決めるというかんじなのでしょうか?
