解説がついていないので分からないとこがあります。 1.I couldn't make up my mind whom to send on my behalf. →make up my mind whom to send on my behalfの部分で、まず文型ですが、make up(V) my mind(O) whom to send on my behalf(O)とするべきか、make up my mind(V) whom to send on my behalf(O)とするべきか迷いました。個人的にはmake up my mindを一つの動詞とみなしいぇしまった方が正しいと思いますが合っていますか？？ 後、whom以下ですが、どうしてwhomが使用されているのですか？？誰をとなるからですか？？文法的にwhom to sendがよく分からなかったのですが、make up my mindの目的語を『疑問視＋to不定詞』の名詞表現になって目的語になっているのでしょうか？？ cf;what to doで、一つの名詞表現であるにしても、疑問詞は節を導くと考えてしまったのでwhat I do.ではダメなのでしょうか？？ また『be＋to不定詞』はたくさんの意味になりえますが、名詞表現を形成する働きもありますか？？ 2.I didn't know what answer to give.
