こんにちは。 私もTOEICの点はあまり自信がありませんが(笑)、英語は毎日仕事で使用しています。 内容は質問者さんの解釈で100%あっていますヨ。自信アリです。 でも確かに少し回りくどくてパッと読んだだけでは理解しにくい英語かもしれないですね。

「TOEIC究極のゼミPart5&6」のP102の問１４で ITG Communications is lucky in that most of our clients are referred to ----- by word of month. という穴埋めで、選択肢が、us we ourselves our の４つあり、 こたえが「us」、解説は、「空所が前置詞toの後に位置するので、空所にはその目的語となる代名詞が入ります」とあります。 が、理解できません。 「most of our clients ARE REFERRED TO ----- by word of month.」でなく、 「most of our clients REFERRED TO ----- by word of month.」なら、 「我々のクライアントのほとんどが、口コミで私達について言及する」という意味で、通じると思うのですが、 前者では、文法的に、ありえないと思うのですが。。。どうなのでしょうか？

お世話になります。IT系に関しての英文なのですが、大体意味は理解できるのですが、なんとなくニュアンスがわかりにくいので、和訳していただけないでしょうか。 IF we use the FastEthernet ports how does the failure of link in the NW is reported to the CPE router. From my understanding,our router FA interface will always show up unless the physical link between our router and the provider network does not hava a problem. This can pose some issues to us in terms of proactive monitoring. よろしくお願いします。

ありがとうございます。 毎日英語でお仕事ですか。実践英語ができていいですね。 ちなみに、ネイティブな人はこんな回りくどい言い方をするのでしょうか。時々e-mailを交換しているのですが、 意味は分かっても、こういう表現をするのかと思うことがよくあります。
