Gです。こんにちわ、lily-valleyさん。 私なりに書かせもらいますね. ＞「先見の明がある」とは しっくりいかないですね. なぜかと言うと、難しい事を一口で言おうとするからなんですね. 確かに、英語学の強い人は、出来るだけ短い文章で、難しい単語で、書こうとするけど、だけどフィーリングが伝わらない、堅苦しい、と言う事になってしまうんですね. （もちろん、言葉ですから、そう書く必要があるときもあるわけですが） と言う事で、私は、簡単な単語で、 (Somehow) he knows what's gonna happen/occur in the future. (Somehow) he has an ability to tell what's gonna happen in the future. (Somehow) he can (is capable to) tell what's gonna happen in the future. 持っているようだ、と言うのであれば、He seems to, He looks like ～ingを使う事が出来ますね. と言うように、逆に辞書の説明のように（つまり誰でもいっている事が分かるように）書く事によって、違和感を感じなくなるわけですね. なぜ、日常使っている英単語は２０００もない、というのかというと、難しい単語を避けて、誤解がないようにしているからなんですね. ですから、私の文章だけでなく、lily-valleyさんが持っているご自身の「定義」を書けば言い、と言う事になりますね. 自分の考えを誰にでも分かるように書く、と言う事は、また、それは、コミュニケーションになるわけで、あなたの考えが素直に通じる、と言う事にもなります. 確かに、He has the faculty of foresight.と言っても分からない事ではないですが、？？？とならないとは限りません. では次にいきますね. ＞学校の問題で「あなたが該当するものを選びなさい」….に対して. 下記の答えの中から該当するものを1つだけ選ぶのですか? いくつでも選んでもいいのですか? Can I choose as many as I feel are suitable? 両方とも通じると思いますよ. ただ、最初のがちょっとぎこちないですね. なぜかと言うと 中から該当する物、というところで引っかかっているようなんですね. ですから、ちょっと変えて、Should I choose only one that is correct/right. Can I choose as many as I feel/think are correct? suitableを簡単に、正しい、としてしまいました. この他に、 Is there only one correct answer here? Or Can I choose more than just one?なんて言う素直な<g>言い方も出来ますね. ＞これらはすべて私に当てはまる。 All of these are suitable answers to me. 当てはまる、と言うところで問題があったようですね. これも、簡単に、正しい、としてしまっていいと思いますよ. All of them are correct answers to me. また、ちょっと、挑戦的に言いたければ、つまり当てはまるじゃんかと、I think all of them are applicable/suitable to this question!といって、まず、I thinkといい、applicable to this question.この質問には通用する、当てはまると思います、と言う言い方が出来ますね. ＞ああー！これは私のことだわ！ Oh! It says about me. いいと思いますよ. saysの代わりに、Oh! It must be (talking/saying/describing) about me.とか、簡単に、It's about me!も使えますね. 間接的に私のことを言ってるわ!と言う事であれば、It does not look like but I can tell it's about me!もつかえますね。 ＞これはあなたの事（をいっている）ね！ This is about you. ここにありましたね. これでいいですね. ＞これは君に当てはまるョ This is true of you. この英文は、私には、これはあなたの内側を見せています.と言う感じなんですね. 病気の症状などで、調べていて、「おい、ちょっと見てみろよ、ここに書いてある症状、お前のと良く似ているな、全て当てはまるよ」と言うような意味で使うのであれば、This apllies to you. とか This is exactly what you have. もしこのようは場面で使われるのではなかったら、また書いてください. ＞私は買い物は好きじゃない。でも海外に行ったら話は別。買い物が私の大好きなことになる。 I don't like shopping. But when I go abroad, it's a different matter. Shopping is my favorite of favorite. いいと思いますよ. ただ、二番目のfavoriteは複数にしてくださいね. また、shopping thereとしても良いでしょうね. また、I normally do not like shopping. But,,,として、普通は買い物は好きじゃないけれど、と言う表現をして、聞く人が、「あ、何か普通じゃない事を言うな、じゃ、少し注意を向けるか」と思わせる事も、アメリカ人がよくやる言い方ですね. これでいいでしょうか。 分からない点がありましたら、補足質問してください。

英語の翻訳をお願いします。 ネットショップで、海外の方がレンズを購入しまして、その後に来たメールです。 have received the lens. Cosmetically this lens is beautiful. Unfortunately optically it is not sharp. I have done some test in two separate days to make sure but the result is the same. I knew about the sharpness of this lens because I actually owned one before. I sold it after I bought the Sony 70-400mm lens. Then I missed the portability of this lens and decided to buy one again. I was struggled if I should return this lens or not.
