Oysters have siphons/a siphon. (1) An oyster has siphons/a siphon. All oysters have siphons/a siphon. (3) Every oyster has siphons/a siphon. All the members raised their hand(s). ・・・ (5) Earc member raised his hand(s). Each なら、「それぞれの member」 Many members raised their hand(s). (7) Many a member raised his hand(s).

After many had only joined with scepticism and hesitation, action against resistant farmers was announced. At the end of the 1950s there was a campaign against anyone who refused. The continuing stream of refugees towards the ‘free’ West illustrated that the SED and their programme were not particularly popular amongst the population. Within the Party voices were at once raised against Ulbricht and his practice of going along with Soviet domination. A purge was already underway at the end of the 1940s against former SPD members and those Old Communists who had come out against the merger of the KPD and the SPD. Their opposition was particularly directed against the restructuring of the SED as a Stalinist cadre Party.

Bob is a member of the Boy Scouts. His mother is proud of it. His mother is proud of Bob ( Bob's ) being a member of the Boy Scouts. Bob's mother is proud of his (him) being a member of the Boy Scouts.

To you, all you have appears little; to me, all I have appears great. Your desire is unsatiable; mine has been satisfied. When children thrust their hands into a narrow-necked jar and try to get nuts and figs out, the same thing happens: if a child fills his hand, he cannot get it out, and then breaks into tears. Drop a few of them and you will get it out. You too should drop your desire; do not covet many things, and you will get what you want. When children thrust their hands into a narrow-necked jar To (children) who put their hand into a narrow necked earthen vessel
