ＸＭＬ規格の内容で
XMLの規格で The design of XML shall be formal and concise. XMLの設計は正式で簡潔でしょう というのがありますが、簡潔はなんとなくわかるとして正式ってどういうことでしょう。どこかに試行版ＸＭＬとか実はあるのでしょうか。

Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set: God,who made thee mighty,make thee mightier yet. この２行目と３行目が、訳せないんです。 ２行目の「born of thee」や、３行目全般が、文の形式がつかめなくて･･･。 どうかよろしくお願いします。

先日、とあるホテルにメールで質問をしたら The Hotel shall be closed until February 15th, 2011. という文章が返ってきました。 この場合の”shall”はアルクの辞書で引いた場合の (1)～すべきである、当然｛とうぜん｝～だろう (2)〔契約書・規格書などで〕～しなければならない、～するものとする (3)～しましょうか (4)必ず～となるだろう の中で、(4)の意味に該当するのでしょうか？ 「ホテルは2011年2月15日まで（必ず）営業していません」という意味でしょうか？ （ちょっと日本語が変ですが・・・） 普段、あまりshallという単語を使いなれないのですが 通常はbusiness文書などのformalな文書で使われるものでしょうか？ 皆さんがshallをどんな場面で使っていらっしゃるか、教えて頂けましたら幸いです。 また、別に質問を立てないといけないかもしれませんが・・・ 本日は閉店しました 1月末をもって閉店しました の「閉店」は同じようにcloseという単語を使うのでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いいたします。

11. Survivability. No party may assign or transfer, in whole or in part, any of its rights, obligations or duties under this Agreement.
